No change rooms! I was able to find a reasonable selection of trendy plus size clothing but the hassle of needing to buy, bring home to try on and then bring back the items that don’t fit for exchange, only to start the whole process over again is enough that I likely won’t return. Prices are excessive on a lot of items as well, can usually find on clearance brand new for the same or cheaper.

I love vintage shopping, I also love finding something I’ve been looking for, for a long time.Today I found both as well as incredible prices for baby and toddler clothing. The store was clean and orderly, staff were quick to give a smile. It was a great way to spend some spare time and I’m looking forward to going back.

$30 on a used dress with condition issues. $32 on a pair of used boots. $50 on a used jacket that I assume they thought was real leather (it was fake). $90 on an obviously fake Kate Spade bag that they had behind the showcase. $120 on a dress that had a retail tag on it for $149. Ugh. Need I remind you that they get these things for free? Nothing at a “thrift” store should be priced above $20 except furniture items. The cheapest dress I found at this store was $10.49 and it was shredded. A lot of the people who shop at thrift stores do so because they can’t afford to shop at retail stores for new clothing. But just like every Value Village these days, the prices here are insane. It’s pure greed

Prices have shot way up. VV is not as good as it used to be. You can still find a good deal some times but mostly slim pickins

They have a decent selection. However, they don't seem to get much furniture in, unlike Goodwill.Their pricing can be pretty steep sometimes, and what sucks the most is that there is no change room to try on the clothes!

Great stock, great staff, amazing turnover, bathroom,But lost a star due to corporate policies like for profit posing as charity (some people say they got sued in USA for this) increased pricing (often higher than MSRP store price)no change rooms, and only self checkouts.Best value village in Alberta.Clean organized and well stocked with good turnover and friendly staff .Bring back change rooms!

No change rooms - got charged $40 to try them on at home.Told that I could take them home to try on and so long as the tags were on I could return them. The truth however is you can only exchange them and it must be in 14 days. So effectively it just cost me $40 to try clothes on and now I have to find things I don’t need or want to “get my money back.” But the money is gone. Dodgy.

If you’ve got time to look for clothing then the prices are fantastic. Keep in mind that Value Village is a for profit business so if you think your donating to a charity you are mistaken. If you want to donate to a charity the try Goodwill. That being said this location in St Albert is one of the better Value Villages and the largest. It’s clean and well lit. The staff is friendly and helpful. My wife and son found good deals on clothing and so did I. You will look through hundreds of clothing items and find one or two items but it is worth it. Besides clothing there are other used household items from dishes to small appliances and books and toys and piles of other knick knacks. Be prepared to spend an hour or two looking.

My friend was harassed by multiple coworkers while shopping. There were photos taken that clearly shown she was being targeted by 4 women who even approached her as a group. She phoned me while the altercation was taking place because she was alone, and felt attacked. I clearly heard the employees laughing and cracking jokes at her coming from her side of the call.I went to the location minutes afterwards to provide support for my friend. I did not exchange words with anyone. I just observed the employees laughing and mocking her. I believe that they did not realize I was standing right there. When they seen she was not alone they stopped. The cashier working the stand was gritting her teeth at us while we were doing our transaction she was also one of the main persons involved in harassing my friend.I brought this up with management over the phone and they failed the acknowledge the issue. I was met with ignorance and told an investigation would be done to “figure it out” but instead all they did was provide me with a 20% off coupon. An apology was never issued nor were there any action taken towards the employees. If you’re First Nations, then I strongly suggest you avoid this place. I never been more disgusted from a place of business then this.
