Wow! It feels like the end of the world. Take the guided walk-through. We just got listening and followed. Another one for the bucket list.

Interesting display of Viking information. Knowledgeable guides. Would have been a nice place to walk and explore on a sunny day.

It was a little disappointing to have a tour here and all you have to look at is mounds of grass. Our guide was very good explaining about the site and they have built a replica building as to what they think the Norse buildings looked like. But still...if they had actually excavated a bit of a real building so you could actually see the real thing it would have been a bit more authentic.

A wonderful piece of history. We stayed overnight in a cabin in Raleigh, a short drive away from the site. Highly recommend you overnight close. Our guide, Betty, was great, however, she spoke a bit too much about the vegetation. The history here proves beyond a doubt that Europeans were in North America long before Columbus. Parks Canada has done a great job in replicating what the site may have looked like. A must see on your visit to NL.

very cool place. it was much more and better than I expected.plaques are very informative. the reconstructed buildings are super cool. didn't expect to be able to go in. they're decorated well on the inside and there are guides in costume as well.trail was pretty easy as it was mostly boardwalk.the documentary they showed inside the visitor center was a little cheesy lol

A bit disappointing. It felt more commercial than historic. The recreated buildings were interesting but there were only a few. The rest are mounds where the former buildings possibly were. There were some artifacts in the display but not many. Our guide was informative and friendly but the rest of the personnel in the visitor center were not at all friendly. When we went to the huts there were a few people in costume but they were sitting off to the side talking to themselves and not interacting with the tourists. Lots of bugs so bring spray. We had tickets to the Sagas and Shadows but went on a great trail and saw beautiful icebergs instead. A long drive. One and done.

A great centre and important, obviously. Well thought out and reconstructed. One caution: the escape room experience was too hard for our experienced family of two kids and two adults. I'd opt for the guided tour instead.
