9 Mile River Trails
We hiked the 9 Mile River Trails for the first time today and believe we did around 11.5 to 12 kms in total both ways, but didn't finish the whole thing. We arrived around 11:30am, and took our time to enjoy the hike. We went to the lake and back (longer route to the left) and really enjoyed the walk. All things considered, this trail is very well maintained, and we even got to meet 2 of the care takers who volunteer their weekends to keep the trails in great shape so kudos to them and anyone else helping keep them up. Keep up the great work! The parking lot is not overly large, so recommend going earlier in the morning to get a spot. At 11:30am we managed to get the last spot in the parking lot. Cars also park on side of the road so there is additional parking. Before attempting these trails you really want to make sure you have enough water and some snacks as it does have some hills and rougher sections if you choose to venture off the main trails. Recommend hiking shoes for comfort and traction as there are rougher sections. There is the odd man made bench here and there but not too close together, so if you see one empty and your tired take the opportunity to rest for a few minutes.Parts of the woods have been silver cultered and we did not notice any litter which was really nice to see. There are a couple of feeders on trees throughout the trails so if you like, bring a little seed to leave forward the squirrels and birds.Overall, this is a great trail to check out, but go prepared.

9 Mile River Trails
Cute trail accessible for bikes, strollers, and walkers. There wasn't a ton of scenery to look at and very few areas to stop for a break but overall it was a nice and relaxing walk with the family and dog.

We visited in January 2022 for some snowshoeing, and even though everything was covered in snow it looked like a superb trail everything seemed to really well-maintained. I’ll definitely be returning.

Very well maintained. First loop is gravel trail, second trail was wooded with some boardwalks over the wettest bit. About 10km, finished in 4hrs with a short lunch break in a gully where a beaver had been busily working, but no where to be seen.

This is a great trail to walk, hike or bike. It is mostly through woodlands but the terrain varies in places. Apparently the trail does lead to a lake, but I must admit we did not make it to the end. There is a good parking area and nice trail maps were available at the parking lot. The first part of the trail is gravel, but turns into a dirt trail. We hiked in the spring so there was some mud, but I was very impressed with the work done by the volunteers. They have done a great job of filling in wet areas with rocks or boardwalks.

Beautiful trails. We'll maintained. The whole thing is around 10k if you want to go for a decent length hike but if u just do the small loop at the start it's only 1k and great for small kids! The long hike is worth it as you can take a break midway at Comeau Lake... Very pretty and quiet.

9 Mile River Trails
Great little groomed trail. Even out at the back end, where it states not managed, it has bridges and pathways. You won't get lost, just don't take the shortcut path as very wet and almost impassable

Nice groomed trail for the MTB without getting too tchnical. You won't get going too fast, and will need to stop for walkers as the trail is fairly narrow.

9 Mile River Trails
This is such a fantastic set of trails and have enough interconnecting trails that you can make it as long or as short as you want. Great for families and friend groups of all shapes and sizes. It is an on-leash area so please keep your dogs on their leashes.

Great hike out to the lake and back. Lots of work has been done on the trail. And mosquitoes weren't bad when we went.
