Best kept secret in HRM! Olympic sized pool and kids pool. Great staff. Warm water. Great setting. Reasonable prices. Met some awesome people here!Only downside is that it closes Aug 31.

Go here every summer. Good place for a family swim, picnic and playing on the playground next to it. A basketball court is next to it for the older kids too. The swim lesson here in the summer are cheaper than indoor pools too. The water is heated by solar panels. The small and shallow pool is great with spray features and floaters while the 25m pool is good for laps, lessons, going down the slide, and just playing.

Loved this pool! I really like that the shallow end is shaded a bit, and there wasn't an overwhelming number of people there, thanks to the scheduling system right now. We will definitely be going again soon!

Great facility horrible staff. Paid just barely got my son in the pool and everyone was told to get out of the pool. If I had of been told the pool was booked for a group of kids before I paid I wouldn’t have a problem. Trying to explain to a 3 year old that he can’t swim anymore after looking forward to swimming all day is heartbreaking

I have visited there in the Summer in-order to participate for the swimming class, but unfortunately it was too late due to weather.It was good which you can swim outdoor and have fun there.There is a playground close to there on the lake in case if you want to have some time with young children.There a small stadium for basketball as well, but I think it is not belongs to the swimming pool (I'm not sure)This place has a free parking lot available right beside the pool.

Amazing waterpool. Warm water most of the time. Family friendly, for all ages. We go there few times every week at the summer.

Great place to swim for all ages. There are times lane swims are available. Currently you need to book a time slot. Evening times are available.

This is the most amazing pool I have ever taken the kids to, a fantastic view, only $2-3 to swim and friendly staff

I returned to this complex in July 2022 and I am updating my review and now giving Bedford Outdoor pool a 5 star rating.Friendly staff and the lifeguards we're doing a great job watching the pool. My kids are 12 & 10 now so no issues however I did not see the lifeguards telling the other parents that they had to be in the pool within an arms reach of their kids like they did to me 5 years ago so they must have new intelligent management.The pools were clean and crystal clear. The big pool has a water slide that my kids loved. The toddler pool was a great combination of a pool with splash pad perfect for toddlers. The view was beautiful overlooking the Bedford Basin. I highly recommend this pool complex now!I was there with 2 kids (7&5) in the summer of 2016 for the first time ever. The lifeguards wouldn't let the 7 year old swim in the bigger pool unless I was in the water swimming with him. He had a life jacket on plus he has been in swimming lessons since he was 8 months old and is a really strong swimmer. The 3 year old was not allowed in the toddler pool unless I was in this pool with him as well. Another parent overheard me trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do when they each want to be in 2 different pools? A thoughtful and helpful parent overheard the discussions between the lifeguard and myself and said he would be in the bigger pool and could watch my 7 year old for me too but the lifeguard said no to this as well. She said it had to be the parent supervising or the official guardian only. The big pool is only about 6 feet away from the toddler splash pool so I told her I would be able to see the 7 year old clearly however she said no I had to be in the water within an arms reach of both children There were about 6-8 lifeguards between both pools as well so idk what the problem was. Maybe there was a serious incident that happened there in the past or something but either way it was a very frustrating afternoon and I'll never be back.

Beautiful outdoor pool! Great view of the Bedford basin. Awesome splash pad. My only suggestion is to make the life jackets and other swimming aids easier to access.
