Reasonable dining experience overall. The front entrance was rather dirty, leaves and sand/dirt and the carpet does not look like it has ever been cleaned. The large wall mirror behind our table had plenty of finger prints and splatters or various origins. Definitely overdue for a good cleaning.Food portions were good for two and cost 98.00 plus taxes and tip. Initially upon arrival staff were attentive however this dwindled rather quickly and remained scarce throughout our dinner, the restaurant had only 4 other tables throughout our entire visit which made the lack of service disappointing.Food presentation is aesthetically appealing however flavours and quality were lacking. The food was not terrible, definitely edible but with so many options for good quality sushi at the same price point in the city we likely will not return.

Went here for a friend's birthday and it wasn't very busy but we went on a week night so that's probably why. Some food tasted really good and some were ok. Service was not bad and the atmosphere was fun!

I've been to numerous sushi restaurants in Vancouver and I can assure you this is in my top 3. An explosion of flavours, with a huge menu, great service and cute space. The monkey brain and sushi cake were different from anything I've ever tried couldn't be better.

Nice selection of food shown in a beautiful menu. They taste as good as they look too. The seafood cabbage cake (okonomiyaki) was one of our favorites, and the salmon tempura was a good unique appetizer. Everything was flavorful but light, a very nice balance. The decor and ambience was modern casual, good for both families and hipsters alike. In fact, we saw several families with young kids devouring plates of sushi rolls happily :)

Servers can explain any dish we do not know. Service is fast but not rushed. We were able to sit comfortably and eat without interruption, around 9 pm. Great atmosphere, low light setting. We got the hamachi carpaccio, salmon carpaccio, cheese katsu, miso eggplant, and beef sushi that I don't recall the spelling of. All were amazing, I wish I could eat miso eggplant like this at home! Would love to be back next time we are in Vancouver.

It was our first time to dine at Seiza and was impressive. The taste is good and fresh, the ambiance is nice, food presentation is very nice, and service is good too.We will be back.

Boasts an extensive menu ranging from classic run of the mill rolls to creations drowned in mayo.The service varies depending on which person serves you.Has huge potential but struggles to find it's target audience.

With so many Japanese restaurants in this city, and even quite a few on Main Street, Seiza has done a great job to stand out from the rest, in my opinion.They have fresh ingredients, prepared with care and decent service, but more importantly I find the it’s good value for what you get.We ordered quite a few dishes to share, but their assorted sashimi was quite worth the value. The fish were all fresh and generous portions. Sushi were all done on point as well, aburi was good, albeit pricey compared to other items on the menu. The extra torching does cook the fish a bit, in turn it heats up the fish and brings out the fat, which makes it more delicious. The tempura was done properly with a thin yet crunchy coating.Even though they have quite a large menu, I’m confident that after sampling a good number of dishes that they do put care in quality control.In terms of service they lean more towards “flag down a server if you need something” style, but that being said, we did have several waiters come and ask if we needed anything throughout both of our visits.I’ve paid them two separate visits, 6 months apart and they’ve been consistent. Happy to see they’re doing well still during the pandemic and looking forward to going back again soon.

It’s hard to give them 4stars as the food is amazing, but the service was lacking. Hopefully they can improve on serving customers better.

Everything was so fresh! The chef roll tasted so good and unique, I would highly recommend if you like sashimi to try this roll with many fish inside. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is very good here! The Zombie Brain" (fried avacado with spicy tuna and crab salad was also good)"
