A true hidden gem! Our hostess Debbie was wonderful,warm and welcoming! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The sunset views were to die for! This is becoming our go-to motel for all future holidays in Cape Breton.

Great location. Nice room. Can’t control the weather but I’m sure the views are great when the fog lifts.

We loved it! It is the perfect location, the room was clean and well equipped, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Spectacular sunset and peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful serene place. The views are breathtaking. You are on a large hill, overlooking the water, and the sunsets are wonderful. The rooms are clean and have little kitchens as well. The staff went above and beyond trying to get us out for whale watching, and suggested things for us to do around town.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Stayed with two young children.Pros:- very large and spacious rooms and washroom.- comfortable beds.- dinning table in room.- kitchen sink, stove, fridge, microwave, dishes and pots in room.- absolutely gorgeous views.- large bath tub.- parking nearby.- lots of space for a pack and play.- comfortable wooden chairs outside to sit and enjoy the view.- extra blankets.- very nice staff.- thermostat in the room and washroom.Cons:- our room didn't have any shampoo, not sure if it was a one off thing.- no breakfast provided.Although this place is gorgeous, comfortable and has great views, there really isn't much nearby. So make sure you have enough food to eat/cook. Or you are about a 20 minute drive from Angie's restaurant and the general store.

If you are a big fan of sunset AND sunrise, here’s the stay. Stunning view at dawn and dusk. Could spend hours there for the scene despite the summer chill. For the room itself, almost everything is included. A full tiny kitchen, a hot shower, a dining table of four. Such a shame the BBQ was out of order during our stay. One tip to go by, always close the door behind, and bring a bug spray.

Room was clean and had a kitchenette and dining table.Chairs outside for enjoying tthe ththe incredible view. The owner was lovely and very helpful with places to visit.Would definitely stay there again

Unlike other reviews, I found the furnishings to be simple, functional and tasteful. The room had an extra bed, a table for four and a clean bathroom with a bit of.space. The kitchen had a fridge, stovetop and microwave oven. We used the toaster and much of the kitchen's dishes and when we found no can opener, the front desk got one for us quickly. We did not notice neighbour noise and we loved the view even though our two sunsets there were obscured by clouds. There is a short path along the back that goes to a natural viewing area and beyond. In mid October the fresh seafood availability is low but the scenery is fantastic. The- Co-op nearby is well stocked for a small store and prices vary from not bad" to "oh my!" Good value!"

I stayed here a few years ago. It was such a great place to stay. Very clean and the owner was amazing, very accommodating and pleasant to chat with. I was his first guest of the season a few years back. I drove out there on my own and felt extremely safe and cared for. Thank you !

An amazing place to stay overnight, the owners are very kind to help us with everything they are the best! Rooms are super clean and spacious, perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean and we saw whales from the distance; a few min drive to the famous Cabot beach and wharf where you see lots fish swimming and boats. Will want to come back.
