Straight-forward & honest: First off, expect a very upfront, straightforward explanation of the realities of surgery. Everything is laid out clearly, and there are no surprises whether it be with options, outcomes and what to expect during recovery, payment, or with the surgical procedure itself. Regarding surgery, nothing at Dr. Higashi's office is sugar coated, and it shouldn't be - they're not making hamburgers or selling clothes after-all, they're doing surgery... in your mouth. :-) I really appreciated the up-front attitude and honesty that all of the staff had when dealing with me. There were no surprises! I felt like I could make a very informed decision.Knowledgeable/accessible - Dr Higashi has very obviously been doing oral surgery for a long time, and had clear and confident answers for all of my questions - this was extremely reassuring. Dr. Higashi and his staff provided exactly the correct recommendations to help me prepare for and recover from my surgery, and they were available when I experienced pain or had questions. Wow - great!Efficient - all of the staff members, including clinical staff and front end staff know exactly what they're doing, and paperwork/booking was fast and easy. The surgery itself was also very efficient, despite that I had a few complications; horizontally impacted wisdom teeth (one still fully in the bone), and had them removed later than the average patient (longer roots).Overall, 100%!! Great work Dr. Higashi and team.

I had 2 wisdom teeth removed on January 2022 with Dr. Higashi. It was a very smooth process and he made the experience so easy. Staff were great. I totally recommend everyone!

Dr. Higashi and his staff are amazing! They are so kind and patient! The office is very clean and organized. They're extremely professional, well educated and explained everything to me very clearly. All my paperwork clearly shows what I'm paying for.I would highly recommend doctor Higashi and his lovely nurses to anybody needing dental surgery.Thank you all so much for making my surgery a breeze I appreciate the efforts to calm be down and assuring me that everything was going to be okay. Everything was okay!I also appreciate that the staff waited for my mother and filled her in on everything. Also everybody here has a great sense of humor so it was easy to talk to them which was a bonus!Thank you again for all your hard work!!

My dentist referred me to this oral surgeon to have a growth removed on the inside of my lip and to have a biopsy done.I am on low income benefits (many of us are since the collapse of the oil and gas industry) and this surgeon wants to charge me $250 for a consultation fee over and above what Alberta Health Care and my benefits cover.I cannot afford $250 which is why I qualify for low income benefits.I find this to be outrageous (especially in this economy) as this is a necessary medical procedure!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Higashi couple years ago under general anesthesia. He was professional and his team was very good to me. He even called a few hours after the procedure to check on me. Very professional and caring. Would recommend to anyone I know.

I was referred here by my regular dentist earlier, but because I raised questions about the fees when I talked to the receptionist, they now absolutely refuse to see me as a patient. I have never even seen or talked to the dentist so far.

I had my wisdom teeth removed last Friday with Dr. Higashi. He made the experience so easy, and he really cared about the well being of myself, and my mom who brought me to the surgery. The nurses in his office were great and really made me feel comfortable, and overall the experience was seamless. The anesthesiologist was also really funny and although I was super nervous to go under, he made me feel very calm. Dr. Higashi personally called my mom on Friday night post-surgery to check in and make sure I was doing okay, and his office has called me multiple times to check in as well. Now, 5 days post-surgery my mouth isn't swollen at all, and I am experiencing very minimal pain. I would 10/10 recommend everyone to get their wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Higashi - great man and great doctor!

I recently had four wisdom teeth removed under general anesthesia by Dr. Higashi and his team. I would like to say that, from the beginning to the end my experience was very positive. The whole team did an excellent job for me and made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Higashi for whoever needs his service. They were awesome!!!

Dr. Higashi and his staff are amazing! My daughter Laura had her wisdom teeth removed a few weeks back and Dr. Higashi and his entire team were an absolute pleasure. They were very professional, ensured that my daughter and I were well informed prior to her surgery and the follow-up was amazing. I would highly recommend Dr. Higashi and I know for certain that my daughter Anna will be visiting him in the near future for consultation regarding her wisdom teeth. Thank-you Dr. Higashi!

This appointment was actually embarrassing and I felt like he mistreated me. I am someone who is very anxious and I have depression, and he knows that because it was on my med form. He continued to degrade me for my age and how my dental hygiene was. I felt it was quite triggering considering I had worked hard and thought it was getting better; just for him to say I am losing all my teeth by 19. When that is not true and very inconsiderate of him. I will not be returning here and do not recommend unless you are willing for someone to degrade and make you feel bad during your whole appointment and then to have to pay $150 for the consultation! The two ladies at the front are very nice.
