Derek and Karen are amazing people. Friendly, helpful and make you feel at home. The shop is super clean and organized. I have gotten a nose piercing a year ago , two tattoos and a touch up , all that healed perfectly. I always recommend Black Canal to everyone!

I was visiting my brother in Ontario (I'm from Wales) and felt the need to mark the first trip to Canada with a tattoo (why not?!) And this little studio was right down the road, reviews looked good so made the visit.Greatest by a lovely girl who was prompt and polite ( it is Canada afterall) and she was able to see to my request herself at that time I walked in too, she was meticulous and took her time to ensure I was getting what I wanted, and the same goes for the actual tattooing too, I left rather pleased with the outcome, now 2 months later I'm still happy with my little memoir of my trip with nothing but a fond memory of the whole experience. ✌️

I got my nose pierced in Kingston and it was not healing well, I stumbled on this shop as I had time to kill in Napanee and was hoping someone could look at my piercing. Karen was able to take me in no time (as a walk in) and was so sweet and genuine! She was gentle with my irritated piercing and reviewed all my options giving her professional opinion. She changed it to a shorter post and reviewed aftercare with me and after 2 days it was already looking 10x better! Great shop, warm inviting atmosphere and very clean and professional!!

Karen is awesome! I have severe anxiety. She made me feel totally comfortable, and at ease. Which is not an easy task for me. She also pierced my daughters nose, who is now hooked and dying for more piercings. I’d recommend this shop to anyone! The atmosphere is awesome and the shop is beautiful.

The Piercer Hannah is absolutely a pro. Went in with my girlfriend who suffers with a panic disorder and she was seamless.We weren’t rushed every detail of the process was explained. our what may have seemed dumb questions were answered and without any judgement.I felt super comfortable throughout the entire process.The staff were absolutely amazing.I don’t usually give a 5 star but they deserve it.The patience from the staff to show us the different jewelry and explanation of the different types of jewelry and finishes, made me feel like I was dealing with people who were focused on the professional aspect of their services and not just the sale.I would highly recommend anyone young or old to use them for any piercings.Parents of young Children this is the place to go for your kids getting their ears pierced.

To be fair and honest this is long overdo!! 5 stars doesn't give Black Canal-The team, Derek Karen and Hannah the credit they deserve! I am having a cover up done from what was a mess to say the least Derek has turned it into an amazing piece which I can't thank you enough and look forward to finishing the sleeve in the fall! Karen great job on the the ear piercing for me... From the moment you walk in you are greeted as you look around it's clean and tidy they take their time to explain the process and every detail from the lot of the needle to the after care which is crucial as I have been tattooed prior. If you are looking or curious about a tattoo or a piercing I highly recommend Black Canal Tattoo!!

I got two piercings here and Karen was amazing! The cleanliness, preparation, and amount of information given was incredible in comparison to the last time I was pierced about 10 years ago somewhere in Kingston where there was none of that effort put in! I had a bleeder with one of them (I am slowly learning that I am just an excessive bleeder with piercings/tattoos) and Karen messaged me back right away with the best tips to get it to behave and heal perfectly. It was the kind of experience that makes you want to keep going back for more piercings you didn’t even want or know of before just to keep supporting them!

Got a memorial tattoo done today by the lead artist Derek Pritchett. I could not be more happy with the finish product. Not only was the tattoo done amazing, the experience was great. Both owners and employees were very welcomeing and pleasant. The shope was very clean and provided so much information about tools he was using and why. Also where they came from and how you know they are legit products. Just Amazing. Highly recommended this shop.Thank you black canal tattoo.
