THERMAL INK TATTOO

Got my first tattoo ever today at thermal ink ! From the minute I walked in everyone was so kind and welcoming. After a short wait I met my artist coco ( @tattooist_jinn ) she was prepared with 2 sketches of my design in slightly different sizes and we got started right after . She made sure the sizing and placement was to my liking and always asked if everything was good with me . Throughout the whole process she kept asking if I was doing alright and if I needed a break etc she even checked if the ink Color’s were what I wanted . All in all she was super accommodating and kind and really took care of me . I LOVE the finished tattoo it’s perfect!!! I 10/10 recommend that you book coco for your next tattoo and don’t hesitate to book with thermal ink either they are so professional and kind . ❤️

I'm having a hard time giving this place a good review.Despite his skills, working with Mr.Yang was frustrating and disappointing. As an artist myself, I had already worked on a clear sketch & sent supporting references of what I wanted in advance. He showed up late, no station prepped & barely had a sketch ready. He seemed to have no clue what I wanted. Instead of sitting beside me and working on the sketch TOGETHER so I could give feedback on something that would be on my body PERMANENTLY, he'd disappear to do his sketch and come back with a printed paper of it. The first print was nothing like I wanted and double the size, and he kept justifying that my design wouldn't work and it would have to be much bigger. Every time I shared my opinion, he always had something else to say. This back and forth of printing sketches that were nothing like my design and my opinion being brushed off took almost 2 hours and my patience was running out (not time-efficient and a waste of paper!). I should've left, but I dislike conflict and I felt bad.The tattooing was painful. Not only was he so rough on my skin, but he never asked if I was okay despite me showing clear signs of pain. He didn't ask me if it was my first tattoo, didn't ask if I had eaten, nothing. He didn't ask if I needed a break or any numbing cream/spray despite the area being one of the most painful areas one could get a tattoo on. He was extremely rough while cleaning up as well. Afterwards, he slapped on some antibiotic (I believe), threw a saran wrap, took 30 seconds to tell me how to care for it and called it a day. No option for second skin, no time for questions, that was it. The tattoo doesn't look bad, but it's not what I wanted so I don't love it. All my friends agreed my design was better and I even digitally sketched over the current tattoo and everyone loves it more. I will be getting it touched up elsewhere by an artist that actually listens to their client.You can tell when a place is run by a random group of artists VS a cohesive business. There are slippers, but it's not a practice that is enforced so the floor is always dirty. I literally watched the receptionist mop an area and an intern walked right over it with his dirty boots, so she had to go back and clean. How sad. The bathroom door is always open and one of the stalls didn't have any toilet paper. I've been to other places where they offer drinks, snacks & even a goodie bag with aftercare instructions and stickers from their artists. The artists make sure you're okay, take healthy breaks, make sure you ate and don't hesitate to ask if you need numbing cream/spray. Now, I don't expect free things, but rather for a business to show that they clearly care about their clients and want them to come back. Getting a tattoo is also about the experience, after all!Until this place ensures their artists understand how to take care of a client and deliver a great experience, I'm never coming back.

What a pleasant experience. All staff was extremely friendly and the location was clean with good sanitary measures in place. Mr Yang was punctual and already prepared with a sketch from a few pics I had sent him prior to our appointment. He made sure I was happy with everything, answered all my questions and listened to requests. He was very polite, made sure I was comfortable, often asked me if I was okay.He’s a true artist, and I’m extremely happy with my tattoo!I’d go back in a heartbeat.

I was lucky to work with Fanner. We worked together on my project and he fully respected my wishes. He makes fine lines with colour. He's patient and gentle person. I recommend him for his great talent!

Staff is incredibly welcoming. Coco is as phenomenal an artist as she is a person. Highly recommend!

I had the most amazing experience. The atmosphere is cozy and cool. The staff is friendly. Coco, the artist who did my tattoo, is communicative, super talented and made the experience easy as well as pleasant.100% will get my next tattoo here!

Loved my experience there. Hardy was my artist and he was very courteous. Clean and quiet area, shop doesnt look like the typical punk/rock environment tattoo parlor. I come here for the fantastic art work by Hardy and the zen atmosphere

It was my first tattoo experience and I’m so happy that Kyla did my first one. They’re an amazing artist I am so excited to have their work tattooed. My experience was amazing, Kyla and thermal ink took such good care of me. The space is very clean and so calm and relaxing. I’m very excited to go back soon! Highly highly recommend Kyla and thermal ink!

Really great experience, emailed a few weeks before arriving in Montreal, they suggested best artists for us. I'm super happy with the result from Coco. Only potential gripe would be the chair wasn't the most comfortable, but that's far from a deal breaker. 2 hour tattoo and it was more than manageable. If I'm back, I'll definitely get another piece from them!

Got an arm piece from the very talented Mr. Yang, extremely happy with the results and highly recommend checking out his work! My piece took roughly five hours, and during this time I got to observe the overall atmosphere. All staff were very personable and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. For anyone on the fence about a tattoo, go here you won't regret it :)
