Avis Car Rental

The person at the counter was totally disrespectful and extremely rude right from the first point of contact when I walked into their office. He asked me for 2 pieces of photo id when clearly there is no mention of it in the Avis reservation (mobile app and confirmation email). He said he won't give me the car without it. Next he said I needed to pay CAD 500 as deposit and when I said why this important information isn't mentioned in mobile app or confirmation email, he said I should have read the Terms & Conditions (which generally most of the customers don't read). Why then would you not mention such an important information on the mobile app or email confirmation, right upfront, just like how you mention the date/time/location of the rental car pickup. All of this still wasn't an issue for me but for the lack of basic customer service skills the person at the counter had - he should be sent for basic training on how to talk decently with customers and monitored closely.

Horrible customer service.Website says they close at 2pm, we went at 1:10, the door was locked, the staff member did let us in but said he was closed and had no cars available. The lot had about 15 cars in it and he told us to come back the next morning at 8am. We needed a car then not the next morning! He was not helpful at all. When we asked about other locations he said no come back tomorrow. Ended up renting from a competitor who offered way better customer service and we will not rent from this location again!

Terrible service they would not take my reservation that I made online back in July even though I had the confirmation number. Tried to charge me $100 more than my reservation saying the code I used wasn't working. Then tried to tell me he couldn't contact his boss or their head office to fix the problem. Ended up cancelling my reservation and finding alternative transportation. I do not recommend

Had very unpleasant experience with this branch, I always rent avis worldwide but there is one guy in this branch who I think call himself a supervisor gave me so much hard time when I came to pick up my rental car, so unprofessional and so not welcoming at ll. I left the branch immediately leaving my reservation behind. I feel so sorry for the company that they have got this person to represent them!!

If you want to have WORST experience for renting the car this is the place you can. They charge you for thing which they don’t tell to the customers and they don’t look the car properly if there is any dent or something before giving it to you and then once we drop the car they start arguing with you that it’s your there’s a damage it’s your fault , and they even black mail by saying, pay for the damage or we gonna call the cops. The person in the office his name is SOHAIL, make sure if you are renting the car ask the name of their person.ADVICE - Spend $10 more but DONT RENT the car from this location if possible.

Worst rental dealership in Hamilton. Waited over an hour for our rental because it wasn't on the property. Once it arrived it needed to be cleaned and that wasnt done thoroughly because there was still food from the last customers in it. All the while the guy behind the counter was extremely rude and acted like we were inconviencing him the whole time. When it came time to return the car we waited over 30 minutes as shuttle after shuttle came in from the airport for rentals. I guess you're not a priority once they already have your money. Both days they had one staff trying to help multiple bookings at once. Not to mention the property looks like a landfill.

First time using this location. I used the app and had a corporate discount. I rented a minivan for 12 days and was quite pleased with the van. It had all the options including leather, navigation and satellite radio. The payment process went smoothly and they honored the quote given by the app. I will most definitely try them again in the future

Very bad Customer Service! Did not have the car for 3:30 pick up, and was given car at 4pm, stuff didn’t check the car properly before giving, but when returning I was gettin billed for something I didn’t do, and when I started arguing, he started blackmailing me, saying he will call cops! Very bad service! They don’t know how to talk to customers! Name of Stuff: Sohail

Car broke down almost immediately. Highly inconvenienced with no offer of compensation.

My daughter required an unexpected car rental on Sunday afternoon. (I was with her.) Ish (the person behind the counter) was most helpful, providing great customer service, a great rate, and got her on the road quickly. Will definitely recommend this location!
