Wonderful addition to the Pictou County food scene. Inside the old dairy, it brings back memories, and the atmosphere is great. Food is fresh, tasty, and different from other places in the area.

Food was very good but goodness very slow. I get it, it’s fine, but certainly not the worlds finest way of handling the delay. But otherwise, it’s very nice, very pleasant and they try hard. Lots of creative choices on the menu. And inside, a game of bags is a good way to toss away the slow food delivery!

My family took me here for a surprise dinner for my 30th birthday yesterday, July 2. There was a little mix up with the reservation my mom had made and they didn’t make note of it, but they got the group seated outside before my sister and I arrived. The waitress - I didn’t get her name but she was awesome - gave us complementary nachos for the mix up. The atmosphere was great and they have a beautiful outdoor seating area. The portions are quite large and the food was delicious. This was my first time here but I would definitely go back!

First, I have to say the best part of our visit to blue lobster was the staff. They all work together to make sure their guests get the best service and experience. We had 4 different servers at our table and they were all incredible. Knowledgeable, prompt, funny and accommodating.The tuna tartare was perfectly done, the mussels are the best mussels I’ve had in a restaurant in Nova Scotia. And the spicy margarita that isn’t on the menu which they happily whipped up for us was amazing. If you like spice they will gladly accommodate you.They also recommended backstage brewery and their ghost pepper beer. It was so nice to see them promote another local company. So after we left we went and tried a flight, solid recommendation.

As soon as you walk in you will feel the laid back and cool vibes. You’ll also smell the aromas of the incredible food you’re about to eat! They were also very good at handling dietary needs and satisfying a variety of pallets and requests.We enjoyed lunch and also the VIP tour and tasting. Highly recommend!!The highlight of our experience has to be Chloe. Her position is a bartender but she is so much more. She was our hostess with the mostest, our server, our bartender and also our VIP tasting and tour guide! The passion she exudes and knowledge of the business she possesses was inspiring. If you’re looking for someone to promote internally who lives and breathes all that this business is about - promote Chloe. She’s an impressive employee. She even specialized our flights as part of the tasting tour - chosen based on her knowledge and vibe with each of us and bang on. And even have us smaller samples of items we planned to purchase at the store.The food - fantastic! The Cajun blackened chicken was to die for (I’m still alive thankfully) and the truffle fries - you must get these!!! Beautifully seasoned and worth the calories haha The cocktails have clever names and taste amazing. The environment itself is a vibe - the food truck inside and the fun lighting and activities (year long games including washer toss and sand bags inside on Astro turf and outside in the beer garden in the summer) with live music on Saturday evenings! We will be back to enjoy that next time.We also want to give a should it to the Manager, Steph. You can tell that she’s respected by her employees and runs a fun ship! Everyone truly seemed to be enjoying their work. Steph made sure to check in with us a couple of times and really made us feel like VIPs. Thank you! See you all again soon.

Every time I eat here it's absolutely delicious! Atmosphere is great and the outdoor seating is so nice in the summer! Lots of live music too! And being able to buy liquor is nice after your meal ☺️ get the mac and cheese!

Fantastic vibes and food at this place! Has lobster for my first time and fish and chips were great. Cocktails were dangerously delicious. Such a cool atmosphere with the distillery and bar! Would recommend

This place is amazing. Popped in for end of day pint and paperwork. Great selection of beverages and the staff behind the bar are fantastic.I even came back for dinner the same night and the food was great.Please order the burger!!See you next time i travel in for business.

Blue Lobster Public House
We attended an event at the indoor beer garden a week ago. There was a large crowd there and the service we received was exceptional. Tara Sutherland was our server and she rocked that crowd without a problem. There were a few other workers who were in and out helping out as well. Teamwork was awesome and I would say everyone was very pleased with how the event went and the food and drinks were great. Would highly recommend this place!

It was a very busy evening when we got there . It was about 15 mins until we got a table so we sat on one of their sofas until then . Seafood chowder was very good and burger my wife had was also delicious. Service was ok . I would definitely recommend it to anyone
