We had decided to install a solar system in our house and emailed Hakai to see if they could provide us some further information. Nick emailed me back with some general information and photos and costs of some of their previous installations. From there Nick came out and measured our installation area and then emailed us a quote. We agreed to the installation and were told it may be 2-3 months before they could do it. Approximately a month later they had a delay on another project and they came out to do the install a couple of days later. The installation crew led by Scott were very polite and answered all questions that we had as the installation progressed. The install was completed within 3 days and we were hooked up to the grid shortly after. The crew was very professional, on time, and cleaned up the work area every day before they left. We love the look of the panels on the house and they are not visible from the street. Our first hydro bill arrived a couple of weeks later and was less than $2. Hakai also provided an app that we can connect to that shows us exactly how much energy we are producing. We highly recommend Hakai to anyone looking for a solar system

We had been considering installing solar panels for awhile. The rebates from the Federal Government convinced us that it was time to do it now and we hired Hakai Energy Solutions. They did the work in a timely manner and very professionally. We were surprised to learn that the installation team were all electricians or apprentices. They were polite, punctual...and fun. They were meticulously tidy and their work looks good. Before installation, my wife was concerned about the appearance of the panels. Not any longer as they look great. We've had them only 2 months but I know they are functioning well as the provided app shows how each of our 21 panels are working as well as the cumulative energy production and cost savings. Highly recommended.

Hakai installed a beautiful system on our home. They really went the extra mile to design a system that would maximize my output on challenging roof pitches, taking shade trees into consideration. The installation team also did a great job, making this system cosmetically appealing. I am very happy with the end result.

I cannot say enough good about Hakai Energy. From the first meeting to the final day of installation communication was excellent. They made every effort to ensure the right product was proposed in regard to finishes, textures, etc. All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable about products, paperwork required for grants, installation, operation, etc. While working on our home their installation staff were polite, knowledgeable, courteous and they left the property clean, you would not have known they were here. I highly recommend Hakai Energy for any project they could assist on.

Got quotes from a few different companies and Hakai felt the most reliable with their high level of professionalism, communication, and thoroughness. They were very responsive throughout. Nick was very thorough with the initial quote, the crew who installed our solar panel system on our roof were efficient and did an excellent job, the final hookup to BC Hydro went smoothly, and they were helpful with the government grants. They proved to be trustworthy to the end and made it clear we made the right choice. Would highly recommend.

Our experience with Hakai was extremely positive. From Nick who came to provide the onsite survey, to Claire and Rob in the office our questions were answered with patience and clarity. We decided on a 11.7kW rooftop array for our house. The entire installation crew was courteous, friendly and professional. They took the time to explain what each day's plan was and answer any questions we had. The Hakai staff guided us through the current grant process and took care of permits and the contractor portion of the BC Hydro grid interconnect application. We have only had the system since November and despite some grey days our consumption from the grid has dropped significantly. Can't wait to see what it looks like when the sun comes to stay and our array is regularly exporting energy to the grid.For anyone getting a residential solar system be sure to speak with your house insurance broker to be sure your current policy is adequate. Some companies require photos once the system is installed etc.To summarize, you won't be sorry if you get your system estimated and installed by Hakai Energy!

Hakai Energy Solutions were recommended to us by our son-in-law after he had a solar energy system installed on his home. The work done by their representative Nick Fielding was informative and gave us a precise idea of what the process would entail. Upon signing up we were in contact with Claire from their office who led me through the process of being inspected and also with the Greener Home Grant application. Work began in mid November 2022 and we were generating solar power on February 3, 2023. The on site crew were great. So professional and they even answered all my questions. Installers were efficient and professional. Their external monitoring identified a problem with one panel and they quickly arranged a suitable time to swap out the panel. System is working well.
