Earth Star Movers

Due to certain time restrictions we had to make our move on last Good Friday. And Earth Star stepped in to help us, takeover this difficult task. We are glad that it all went well. Their staff made this a pleasant experience for us even during this difficult time of COVID-19 and observed social distancing and cleanliness. At the end it was a job done well, within our budget and leaving a satisfied customer behind. And that’s what we are happy to share and recommend.

A traumatically bad experience.This team completely overpromised and underdelivered—from having been quoted $350 to paying a surprise bill of nearly $1000. It didn't help that the mover was mediocre on top of having a hostile and argumentative attitude. Stay far away.

I used Earth & Star Movers for moving us from our previous home in 2014.Linda was really nice when I made the booking with her & I expected a decent move according to the other reviews. But she subcontracted the job to a 3rd party.The movers were not on time.( 1hr delay). They did two trips. Although it was a very short distance move they took more than 10 hrs to finish it .Very lousy & hostile. I think they were drunk the day before.They damaged my dresser. I bought that only for staging. & it was packed very well.They tore our leather couch, love seat & the chair . All three of them were damaged.When I informed Linda she paid $ 50/= . What can we do with $ 50/= .it was a very expensive leather couch.Also some items went missing.Do not go with this company if you want to have peace of mind in your new home.

Very quick and efficient move with movers that knew what they were doing. Keep in mind they have a 3 hour minimum if you have small/short-distance move.

I was in contact with Earthstar, however on moving day, Trans Net did the actual moving, aside from that lack of communication which cost me 1 hour in extra charge because i had to verify the legitimacy of Trans Net, and failure to reach Linda on the phone, Trans Net did a very good job with the move. They were thorough, nothing got broken. Alex and Eugene did a great job. I would have given 4 stars to Trans Net.

I made the booking of the office move with Linda she was very nice and explained everything. I wish I can say the same for the back-end office (aka-movers). Linda is nice and she will SELL" you the move like there's no tomorrow and she has great follow up on top of that but she DOESN'T DO THE MOVE. Not only the movers didn't have experience in moving but they just didn't care. The pick up was at a location where we had elevators and the drop off was at a location where they didn't have elevators and that information was given to Linda. The movers claims that they didn't know and needed help

Linda was great, very to the point and responsive. I got a call from George (The Foreman) a few days before the move to check in and confirm, great. They day of the move, the guys turned up bang on time with a great truck. They didn't have any but were happy to wear the PPE I provided (COVID19). They worked from 10am - 6pm with only a very short break.They were friendly and courteous, clean and dilligent. My reason for a 4 star is this:With EarthStar, you get what you pay for, they are not a premium moving outfit. They didn't have spare boxes so needed to drive to HomeDepot mid move and buy more, they passed these onto me at cost which is great but I would have expected a supply of spare boxes from a professional outfit. They had blankets on the truck but we didn't move a lot of furniture so I guess we didn't require them.They packed many (not all) of my loose items (e.g. board games and stationary) loosely on the truck, they were safe and well packed on the truck but it was strange to see our stuff just loosely packed (not in boxes). To be clear, we experienced no damage to any of our items.Nothing was wrapped in bubble wrap or packing paper, again odd and probably saved time but not what you come to expect from a professional movers.They did help dismantle a large wardrobe, they did pack our hanging clothes away properly and they did put everything in indivdual boxes that I asked for. They worked relentlessly and were really lovely guys.I would recommend EarthStar for anyone on a budget looking for a good service looking for a no-fuss, no-frills move. They were by far the most cost effective option I could find in Toronto.

This was the second time in 8yrs that we have used Earth Star Movers. Linda again was extremely helpful and professional. She called me about a week before my move to confirm the day and time. On the day the moving crew showed up on time wearing gloves and masks as one does in this time of COVID-19. Social distancing was practiced and respected. They were quick at both loading and unloading the truck. I would highly recommend Earth Star Movers! We are hoping that this will be our last move but if we decide to move again I will be calling Linda and Earth Star Movers! THANK YOU LINDA-Wayne Simpson

My experience with Earth Star movers was indeed a great one....They were on time, very kind and warm people, The workers always showed dedication and determination to their jobs, always with consideration to my thoughts. Nothing was broken in my place and they did not over price anything! They also helped in anyway they could im very thankful! The biggest, most out most respect for Linda always. Your competitors will never catch up :) What a great buisness .. Thank you again I highly recommend this moving company:)

Fantastic experience with Earth Star Movers! Their motto we treasure your treasures" was exemplified in the long distance move they did for my family.Linda was very professional when we contacted them to book the move. She addressed all our concerns.The movers were right on time and very polite and professional. It's a tough job and we had a lot of bulky and fragile furniture
