Montana's

Overall experience when we were there was pretty bad overall. I think they're putting to much effort into skip the dishes because from when we ordered to getting the appetizers we waited an hour and a half. Will try and go back another time to see if it's any better.

It was my first time to visit any Montana restaurant. I had the pulled pork nachos and my wife had an order of ribs. Awesome awesome food, super friendly staff and great atmosphere! Very highly recommended!!!! Also they have the best cornbread I have ever had!!!

At dinnertime my wife had a harvest salad with grilled chicken and a bowl of dusted fried onions on the side. I had a 12oz steak. Our food was excellent, however the steak was served only warm, clearly having sat around after being plated. The salad was notably good and highly recommended. Service from Charlot was first rate. The steak issue was forgivable because these things happen, but what dropped a rating star was having air conditioning blowing cold air down on us and being told head office" sets the temperature

Used to come here all the time. Not anymore. One of the higher priced entrees left me STARVING after a 50 minute wait, loaded up with the one ingredient I asked to remove. My dear friends enjoyed stale fries and a medium" steak as red as the vintage pickup truck in the rafters.This was giving a second chance to the place after a pervious visit was similarly bad. A few years ago this was a surprisingly great spot but it's gone downhill."

I've been to Montana's a couple times before and it is a brand name chain restaurant with a western BBQ theme. I had mentioned to my new Fiancé that I would love a good steak dinner for my birthday, and she totally surprised me by taking me to the Montana's in Moncton.Previously I have experienced long wait times to get into Montana's, but this time I was pleasently pleased to be able to walk in and request a booth, and one was cleaned for us right away, maybe a 5 mins wait which was completely acceptable. I always request a booth if available, for the privacy and ambiance. I was a little taken aback when they seated another couple directly accross from us, when many other booths were available. I could hear their conversation loud and clear without trying to listen, even to the point of drowning out my conversation with my Fiance.. so I know they could hear us as well. With there being soo many tables available, I would have thought the hostess would spread us out more, but from their standpoint, It is probably easier for them to group us all together. That was a minor point I've seen happen in many restaurants, and didn't ruin my experience. We were offered drinks right away, I always get diet pop and most chain restaurants offer free refills as did this one. We ordered our food quickly and being steak, I assumed it would take some time to cook. I find medium perfect, not too bloody like medium rare and not overcooked like medium well. It did take a reasonable amount of time to get our meal, but gave us time to chat, and we were in no hurry, It was my birthday afterall, so I was taking it all in. Usually they have sports on, but tonight the American Music awards were playing on the TV, but the house mucic was playing over the speakers which was all we could hear, and the sound system was very good.. I enjoy good thumbing bass and it wasn't overwhelming or obtrusive. When the food arrived, I was excited to dig in, as it's been a long time since I had a good steak at a nice restaurant. My Fiancé had chicken and I had the steak event, I upgraded to a 10 oz steak vs the basic 7 oz steak for an extra $5.00 which I thought was reasonable. I usually order fries, but must not have specified fries because I recieved patatoes au gratin, which was delicious. I was offered baked beans or Coleslaw.. I always go for the coleslaw as it is hard to find a good coleslaw in the grocery stores.. but I should have paid extra to get both. The steak was a perfect medium, just pink in the middle and nicely seared on the top and bottom.. It wasn't melt in my mouth soft like butter, but tasted great and I wished it was a little bigger like 12 oz. Montana's is not cheap, but acceptable as an occasional birthday treat. I would definitely recommend Montana's for an Adult night out, If kids were involved I would recommend Boston Pizza or East side Marios. My dinner included 4 little sugar coated donuts with a toffe like dipping sauce... they were good, but just not enough, so my Fiancé got the apple friiter topped with ice cream, that was to die for, I enjoy the ambiance of Montana's, the interior is very interesting built like an old barn, even has a chevy truck mounted in the rafters. I was very happy with her choice.

Warm welcome at the door and great service at the table. Don was very professional. We enjoyed our meal. I plan to return and try different menu items.

Been a little while since my wife Pat and i have been here. Being a lifetime lover of the western world i thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere here. Enjoy the rustic setting.Upon being seated i ordered the second largest size of beer in a glass (only 2 bucks more). Pat was satisfied with the water provided.I ordered the curly pasta with crunchy bacon bits smothered in creamy sauce and topped with cheese (Mac & cheese). Tasted Devine. The cornbread was a delightful addition to my meal.Pat ordered the sizzling burrito and we were both delighted hearing it coming before actually seeing the sizzling plate. Pat was excited about the abundance of delicious accoutrements served with the provided meat. She took great care in loading her tortilla and then wrapping it tightly.Waiter was kind enough to check on us a we dined. Overall great experience and a joy to have dined here.Pat was thankful that the size of her meal entitled her to enjoy leftovers next day.We were made to feel welcomed beginning from the employee who opening the front door for us, being welcomed inside and being shown to our seat. Attentive waiter, brisk server upon delivering our meals, courteous follow up and finally, the payment of the bill.

Spinach dip was good, but some pita pieces were rock hard. Steak tasted great but looked well below 7ozs, ribs were dry and fries were undercooked. But our waitress, she was fabulous! Checked on us continuously, apologized for the slow kitchen (not your fault dear but appreciated the communication) and showed excellent customer service. 5 stars on service, 3 for food.
