*******UPDATE EDIT***After failed attempts to contact Amar and YEJ studios I've decide to take the loss with this company and contact the city to have the application changed over to my name. I will finish the job that they started and where paid for in full.This is single handed the worst company yo operate in the gta. I hope this review helps anyone considering hiring YEJ studios for their home. DO NOT DO IT ! ******I'm writing this in hopes that the owner will see this and call me back. My property is on shadyglen drive in hamilton ontario. Its regarding a legal basement build.Its been months as YEJ failed to meet city guidelines for a legal basement build. The drawings have gone back to them many times. I 've been trying to get a hold of their permit specialist Kimberly and the owner. They do not reply to any voice messages or calls. Even emails sent by their receptionist goes unheard.My entire project has come to a stop and i'm stuck waiting of these guys to do their job.The whole experience with this company has been unprofessional.You have my information, please call me back ! Please answer my messages! I need to know what is going on with my account! with my drawings !

Got my walkout basement permit from the City of Richmond Hill with the help of YEJ Studio+Consulting. Needed a bit patience since other agencies were involved. I will recommend them to others. Stay blessed.

This is my second project with them, first one was great (about 2 years ago). Something happened to this company they have turned into scammers, the charge full payment for the simple design and then disappear. I have made several attempts to discuss this with someone but no luck wasting too much time chasing Amr. Stay away from this company, seriously! they don't have capacity to work on multiple projects anymore. I filed complaint against the company. I lost lot of time, contract to build the deck as well as money. they don't even deserve 1 star

I highly recommend using YEJ for all your building and permit needs. They are very knowledgeable with regards to sizing, planning, drawing and adjustments. Their team provides services for everything involved from start to finish, including applying for the permits. They provide a very professional and hands-free service. I will definitely call them for any of my future needs. Thanks to Amr and his team for making my experience go smoothly.

We painted 3 basements for A m r Robah. We painted the first basement at the end of May. A m r wanted us to immediately paint the next 2 basements. But since we still hadn't been paid for the first basement, we told A m r that we would not proceed with the next basements until we were paid for the first basement. So to convince us to proceed, A m r (deceivingly) paid us a portion for the first basement we had completed.After having completed the next 2 basements, we patiently waited for A m r to pay us...with no success. After multiple attempts at trying to receive payment (via numerous phone calls and text messages), A m r has done nothing more but evade us. And now, A m r is no where to be found.A m r Robah claims to be a professional business person and a man of his word. But in reality he is a c o n - artist. To make matters worse, his team serve as his accomplices. A m r's construction supervisor, Josias (or as they call him, Jay), was our main contact while working with A m r. Jay approached us privately, promising to get us future painting work with A m r if we agreed to give him a commission from each job.We worked hard for the money that A m r owes us. Its truly a shame that people like this are in business.

An experienced and professional companyYEJ managed my permit application from start to finish. Compared to the quotes received from other companies, I was concerned that using YEJ would require more a hands-on approach. However, YEJ took control of the process. I did not have to interact with the City except for paying the permit fee. YEJ kept me informed on the application process. It was stress-free on my end.Hassnaa Elnahal is knowledgable about the City bylaws and application process. All I did was to tell her what I wanted to achieve and she created the proposed layout. As the architect, she gave me practical design/layout suggestions to maximize the use of space while meeting the city requirements. She was very responsive to my suggested changes and within a week my drawing was complete and forwarded to the next department.I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the full application package was complete and submitted to the City. In the midst of COVID delays, my application was approved by the City within a few weeks without amendment.Their online portal kept me updated on changes to my application. If you prefer to talk via telephone, you will need to exercise patience.

Scammers. Seriously. Dishonourable. Go elsewhere. Huge disappointment.We hired for simple basement reno drawings. At first we through the people - Amr- were lovely. Plus they have cool online tool for storing plans and communicating.Then the wheels fell off the bus.First a $700 change fee for something that my architecture friend said would have taken less than 30 min to do.I received an email saying that my final plans are done.Plans uploaded aren’t anything close to what’s needed for permit with the town.WTH did you not tell me that rather than say the plans were complete?Turns out they hold back your final plan package until you pay final bill. So I pay my bill and still NO PLANS.I have now asked FIVE times in 6 weeks for my completed plans and still don’t have them.

I have been waiting for the permit for my basement side entrance. Its been a year now. They still haven't delivered. I was promised a time frame of 3-5 months. They have completely dissappeared on me. Whenever I call they say it should be done soon" or "will call back soon when finished" and you never hear from them again."

Yej consulting is unreliable and unprofessional. I hired them to plan, get permit and create a basement apartment. I have paid them in full as per their schedule.It is now almost a year since we started the project.Right now, I have an illegal basement entrance and the city wants an engineering report to consider legalizing it. After following up for months, Amr Robah has not yet given me the engineering report.As they don’t answer emails and phone calls, I went to their office. Their office was the only one in the entire building that was boarded up as its glass windows and doors were shattered. It seems they work remote so you can’t interact with them unless they want to.I had to pay another $600 to make minor modifications to apartment plan through a different architect.Meanwhile, I will try to legalize my basement entrance with the city. The city inspector has been very cooperative and helpful.In my opinion, Yej Consulting and Amr Robah are not reliable contractors. Hope this review helps you avoid the kind of problems I have faced. BTW, I could give minus 5 stars if possible!I will take down this review if they give me the engineering report.
