The gratitude we have towards Karla is endless. She officiated both our wedding and led the memorial service for my mom. Her process to create a ceremony, is thoughtful, compassionate and personal. We had a great time working with Karla as our wedding celebrant for our July 2022 wedding.From our first meeting with Karla, her approach to creating a meaningful wedding ceremony really resonated with us. She took the time to get to know us as individuals and walked with us through our memories of dating and getting engaged. We all laughed and cried as we shared our story and started laying the groundwork for the ceremony.A big part of what makes Karla’s ceremonies so personal and unique is her questionnaires. She personally crafted these based on our first conversations and gave us some time to reflect on our individual selves, our partner, our past, and our future together. We also wanted to include our parents in the ceremony, so they also filled out a separate questionnaire. Not only was this a valuable tool for us to plan the ceremony, but it also started us thinking about our vows.Karla was there to advise and coach us on writing our vows, and ensured that they were similar in length and tone. She had everything printed and organized the day of the wedding.Karla took all of this information, and with our input and approval she created a beautiful ceremony which included our words and intentions, thoughts from our families, and a meaningful ritual that all of our guests took part in. Many of our guests commented that the ceremony was beautiful and personal. We were looking for a ceremony which reflected our personalities; authentic and real. We didn’t want a cookie-cutter, sappy ceremony, but rather something unique.We had a small wedding with only close family and friends. Karla was sharp and very much in charge of the event. Having Karla officiate our wedding was one of my favourite parts of the day and of the wedding planning process as a whole. She is so thorough & sincere in her work and made our ceremony the most personal, intimate ceremony I have genuinely ever been to. We received countless compliments on how beautiful & individual it was to us. Her process for creating the ceremony was lengthy and involved lots of meetings and I wouldn't have had it any other way as we both felt so seen & validated in our love. Reading the first draft of the ceremony made me cry and on the day of the wedding amidst all the nerves, we felt so comforted by her presence. She has an exceptional talent of reminding you how special and beautiful life is and I can't wait for another opportunity to celebrate with her in our future.

If you're planning a ceremony of any kind, collaborating with Karla will honestly be one of the best decisions that you will make.My wife & I worked with Karla this past winter as we planned a small wedding ceremony for 50 of our closest friends & family members. She made the process of planning not only fun and accessible, but also rich and meaningful. It was such a therapeutic call for me.She skillfully and compassionately led us through a carefully crafted process that helped us get clear on our intentions for marriage, our aspirations for the relationship, and our desires for making a formal commitment to each other.I’ll say it again - Karla’s process brought us closer together. We shed tears, we laughed, we held each other. When we were looking for an officiant for our wedding Karla came highly recommended by a number of our other vendors, so we decided to reach out and are so glad that we did. She was very welcoming and easy to talk to and worked with us every step of the way from learning about our history to aiding with our vows.
