Sacred Heart is a real family, not just a school. My two daughters are receiving excellent education in a warm loving environment. The pandemic was a challenge this year and Sacred Heart teachers and administrators were flawless in transitioning to home learning when necessary. They didn't miss a beat. It's one of the best decisions we have ever made to send our girls to Sacred Heart School of Halifax.

We really enjoy and feel welcomed since day #1, the school has the exact network, skills and tools to support the development and success of the children in all levels. We really loved this school. The playground is one the best playground I have been in Halifax and allows the kids to challenge themselves. The teachers are great and have dedication to the students. They have French, sports and music and at classes. We came here after try the Public School wasn't the best, we thought the kids where not been taking advantage of their best moments to learn, their minds where not been in use as much as it could be,This place is great for them to learn, they let them grow, learn and get skills that children need and what I like more is a Catholic School, which is great, they will keep the good work. Please don't stop teaching kids to say a prayer before lunch time.Thank you.

As an alum myself, my journey to Sacred Heart School started after having a number of negative experiences in the public school system. After entering such a warm community at Sacred Heart and enjoying a compelling academic curriculum, caring and knowledgeable faculty, and learning excellent life skills and values, my confidence grew and I began to thrive. This nurturing and teaching the whole child" at Sacred Heart is a unique opportunity I wanted both my children to experience as well...and so they started their own Sacred Heart educational journey in Junior Primary/Primary and are now in Grade 1 and 5. As a newer family to the school we enjoyed a warm welcome and are surprised at how quickly we fit into the community. It really is a community with kids making friends not only in their grade but across the entire school. We are very happy we made the choice to join the Sacred Heart family.

We are parents of an international student from Germany. Our daughter is going to stay for one year and has attended SHSH for three months now. She is enjoying her experience so much!What makes SHSH really different from large public schools with many international students is the school's level of intimacy. There are about 30 students in each grade and my daughter quickly got to know all of her grade and soon made close friends. The girls are all very welcoming and supportive of each other, like a family. Also the teachers and staff are enormously welcoming.Due to smaller class sizes (around 15 students), they all know her well and it's a very personal atmosphere. She really feels appreciated and seen. One teacher even turned on the World Cup's Germany soccer match during class, just for her!A smaller school allows for a better chance to play on a sports team, and so our daughter was able to join both cross-country and volleyball. She loves being a part of these teams and it's a great way to socialize, she says.Academically speaking, the school has a lot to offer. It's certainly not a school for taking a year off" from school at home. Learning is rigorous

As years went by, we’re glad we’ve made the right decision to put them in Sacred Heart. Hosting international students has been a wonderful learning experience for our whole family. Our young children love having an older sibling with new traditions, stories, and foods to explore. And we love exploring, adventuring, and discovering with our international students. It's a win-win for us.

Sacred Heart School has been an amazing experience for my children, who have been attending from 2017. The teachers are supportive and nurture the students' social, emotional and academic growth. Teachers, principals and staff are accessible. SHSH has been an exceptionally positive experience for my children!
