ICBC Parkade - Lot #1269

After literal decades of free parking on weekends, ICBC lot is now paid parking. Now more affordable to drive downtown and pay for parking downtown than paying for parking at the quay and the seabus both ways. They effectively killed a popular Park N Ride for north shore transit. Good job city planners.

It’s super awkward to get in and out of here. The stalls are fine, it’s reasonably clean (not great, but reasonable). I’m at just the entrance and exit have such tight turns, I’d be fearful of driving in with anything mid or full sized.

I have Handicapped Parking sign (as walking is difficult), and I was issued a $90 parking ticket, while parked in a spot for the handicapped. Why have designated spots, if they can't be used as intended? I will never park there again under any circumstances.

Parked here yesterday and went to pay. The machine froze on me and I tried to pay on hangtag but there was no service. Ran up a stairwell to find service, still couldn’t get the app to work, gave up and went back to my car to park elsewhere. Total time was less than 5 minutes AND THEY TICKETED ME. Absolutely insane, I regret parking here and can’t believe they expect me to pay $90 for parking for 5 minutes while struggling to pay the 5 buck parking fee.

I am a cancer patient who hasn't been able to venture out much much until recently. I did not realize that the ICBC lot is no longer free on weekends, so imagine my surprise to receive a $90 parking ticket (the exorbitant cost adds insult to injury).

DO NOT PARK. ITS NEVER FREE. BEWARE! DARK, TIGHT GARAGE AND PAID PARKING SIGN IN DARKNESS ON WALL SEEN EXITING GARAGE AFTER GETTING A $100 TICKET DURING WEEKEND. EVERY PARKING SPOT IS LABELLED ICBC NOT TO PARK THERE MON TO FRI WHICH MAKES ANYONE THINK THE OLD RULES APPLY WHEN ICBC WAS LOCATED THERE FOR EONS - AS IN FREE PARKING ON WEEKENDS. TICKETS ONLY REDUCED!?!? WHO HEARD OF OPPOSING RULES AND PRICEY TICKETS? THIS IS FRAUD. REMOVE ICBC RULES OFF THE GARAGE GROUND PUT MORE LIGHTS UP AND SIGNS BC ALL YOU THINK IS THE OLD RULES OF FREE PARKING BASED ON ICBC. DO NOT PARK THERE! they give one chance to pay up their crooks and send u to collections...DOES NOT AFFECTLICENSING/RENEWAL OF VEHICLE LICENSE!!!!!! THEY OUGHT TO BE SUED FOR CONFUSING SIGNAGE AND HIDDEN SIGNAGE AND FOR TICKETING WITH MAL INTENT. READ OTHER REVIEWS...PPL ARE TICKETED AS THEY ARE TRYING TO PAY FOR A TICKET. GOVT ICBC PARKADE IS CROOKED TOO FOR MAKING PPL PAY $100 PER TICKET WITH NO RIGHT TO DISPUTE? NO OTHER WAY TO PAY BUT CREDIT CARD??? CANMOT EVEN LOCATE WHERE TICKET MACHINES ARE. YOU ARE PREVENTING PPL FROM SPENDING HARD EARNED MONEY ON LOCAL BUSINESSES.

They have signs to tell you to pay for your parking, but no directions to the machines or instructions for any type of app payment option. In the time I left my car to hunt for the machine, about 5 minutes, they gave me a ticket. I will never park there again. Thank goodness it is a private lot and the ticket does not effect anything and they can try to collect it all they want.

No warning of pay parking on weekends and parking spaces still say only Monday to Friday. Majority of cars have tickets. Last time at the quay for us. Sneaky and we will be calling to challenge. At least 40 other cars with tickets. Impart and their usual profiteering and shady tactics. Sad..it was a nice area to spend some time and money.

As a market vendor, to have this go from free on the weekends to paid with ZERO notice to vendors and visitors is absolute bull. On top of it, the fact that the meter is often out of service, the hangtag app sucks and charges extra fees, and tickets are 90 dollars is CRIMINAL. To add even more insult to injury, they seem to patrol the lot right after the market ends at 3 to ticket any vendors who aren't able to get to their cars in time. I would recommend parking at literally ANY other lot as this one is run by crooks who would rather line their pockets than have any decency as a company.

I parked in this Impark lot on a Saturday at 12pm, walked to the parking meter to pay and then realized I had left my wallet in my car. I went back to my car and within the few minutes it took for me to walk to and from the parking meter I had received a $89.25 parking ticket that was noted as being issued at 12:03pm. It is absolutely absurd that I should be expected to pay this ticket. How is it possible that receiving a ticket within 3 minutes of parking is a fair ticketing practice by Impark? I will no longer be using Impark services in the future as I cannot support a company that has such ridiculous and unfair ticketing practices.
