Fitness Town

Came into the shop today does for some rubber plates. Prices were so reasonable compared to other retailers, especially for the quality. Man working there was so down to earth, honest and helpful. He gave great advice based on what my needs were and directed me towards the best equipment for my needs/ situation. He even helped bring the heavy weights to my car.Will be going back here for my fitness equipment.Parking available around the side!

I purchased some equipment for our home gym for Father's Day. The staff ensured my order arrived in time which I really appreciated.Also the man at the front desk was kind and helped me carry some of the products to my car. I have two small kids so I really appreciated the help.

Glad to see they are still open! (Don't let the boarded up windows deter you, that's a different store. Fitness Town is around the corner).I'm a Fitness Town fan. When a North Van family member (senior citizen that needed a little extra guidance) needed a few things, I sent them in and they were so happy with the help they received.

The merchandise was good, customer service was bad. The guy working there was sarcastic and cut me off mid conversation to answer a call. When i called him out for it in a nice way, he turned defensive and he clearly didn't want me in the store...

I called Tommy about buying a rowing machine. He was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. He patiently explained my options and even sent a photo of it to put me at ease. He then put one on hold for me. When I arrived at the store that evening, the rower was safely tucked away with a note saying it was sold—do not touch. It may sound like a trivial thing but many times a sales person says something over then phone but doesn’t follow through. This was so pleasant surprise.The delivery was truly white glove service as well. Fitness town prudently pre-assembled these so it doesn’t need to be done in your home (to comply with social distancing). The delivery person was very careful with the handling. He propped the equipment on the box to make sure it doesn’t get damaged when transporting from the truck. A lesser service would probably have just wheeled it across the street. I didn’t get his name but he was very polite and dropped it off just inside my door along with the accompanying accessories.I have seen Fitness Town ads but this is my first time purchasing from them. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience and will purchase from them again. I have already recommend the store to friends.

I wouldn’t even give a 1 star if I had the option! I called in to have a service visit to repair my non-functioning treadmill. They said it will cost $150 to come in for diagnosis and if it is an easy fix with no needs for parts, they will fix it there and then for no additional cost and I accepted the charges; within reasonable time (within a week) the technician is scheduled and he comes in; but he can’t fix it he says and tells me he has to go back to his team and try to diagnose the issue from data he has taken and let me know what parts are needed to fix this; I then try to look into it and google the reasons behind a dead screen of treadmill, and easy enough it says usually there is a disconnection on the single wire that goes up to screen, I open it up and no surprise, it is a disconnect along that one single wire, and I fix it within 1/2hr. Now after two weeks, I get a call that the team has conducted and concluded the diagnosis and here is the parts needed... I explain to the caller that his technician seems not as competent and there was no need for no parts and the issue was just a disconnect along the cable and is fixed in matter of 1/2hr and should have been resolved on the first visit with no additional cost. The guy offers no apology, no mentioning of how and what can be offered to make you happy with our service.... I really don’t think they should be trusted with service and diagnosis of tools and I don’t think they have decent customer service, wouldn’t recommend them for purchase of gym equipment as they do NOT offer a reliable customer support if something goes wrong after purchase!

Outstanding customer service during these trying times. Very much recommend supporting this location. Bought hand weights and chin up bar. Manager phoned me as the truck was coming in with more weights and stayed late so I didn't have to drive back down another day.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff there. Tommy helps me patiently all the time, Help me find good equipments even during this covid situation. I will recommend all my friends go shop there from now on. Good job guys! -Edison
