Wolf's Den (Gun and Archery specialist)

I fell in love with this place after being invited to go by a co-worker for a group event. Less than a month I was back there and buying my first Recurve.The staff is *beyond* excellent!! Everyone knows what they are talking about (or so it seems to me as I am a newbie to all of this, haha!). When I purchased my bow yesterday, I didn't receive any sort of up-selling - I found the complete opposite - more help and education. Everyone (staff and guests alike) are always friendly, safe and happy to impart wisdom or leave you alone, whichever you prefer!I 100% recommend this place at least when it comes to archery, staff, options and atmosphere - though I know they do more!!Thank you so much again!! I will most certainly getting a membership next year!!

Went into Wolf's Den today and was able to pick up a new Allen gun case. Online inventory is accurate. A nice selection of firearms and archery equipment, with all the accessories anyone would probably need. Next time in Barrie, will have to inquire about the range and bring my own gear.

Just learning archery. Staff are friendly, helpful and will give you a lesson if you need it. cheaper than I thought it would be! $10 to access the ranges for the day and $10 to rent a bow. you can buy or provide your own arrows ($20 for 3, if you buy there).I haven't tried the front range yet, my group goes to the back range. There is also a trail you can walk with various targets to shoot along the way.The back range is half a km walk, according to my Fitbit.I had no problem getting around on my crutches. I could do it in my wheelchair with my freewheel (I also have off-road/hiking wheels). The path is gravel and turns into wood chips, so I wouldn't attempt it unless you're set up for off pavement movement. There are picnic benches at each range. No seating along the trail that I can remember (but I will look next time I'm there and update if needed)

Wolf's Den is a one-of-a-kind place that will make you want to come back again. I'm now a member and have learned everything I know about shooting bows from the experts there and get to apply it at the range onsite. The owner and staff are real pros and awesome to chat with. Place comes highly recommended. Check it out!

READ THIS.I love this place. 15 minutes west of Barrie, the Wolf's Den is a great shop and range to check out if you're interested in archery. The owners and staff are colorful personalities with a storied history, and it's worth taking the time to get to know them. But fair warning, this is not Cabelas. Don't expect to stroll around and have some part time 15 year old cater to every random question you have, that you could have just googled. Don't ask for a 60lb draw bow for your 5'3 girlfriend(ask me how I know...)

Love this place, I go there with my son and we spend the whole day there. Their store is nice I usually buy arrow for them ( good prices ) and I also got a Hoyt compound from them which they help me to set it up for me.

Took my firearms safety course there. The instructor was good, everyone at the store was knowledgeable and welcoming. The boys want to go back for some fishing and archery. They have a full archery range and fish ponds

Great place to spend the day. The main archery range could do with being a bit better maintained and you should be prepared to loose arrows, but there are lots of targets and a bunch of different areas, targets for axe throwing, a bbq area, ponds and lots of nice scenery. The shop also has a good selection of stuff albeit a bit pricey.Note: Bring bug spray or prepare to be eaten alive!

What a fun place to spend a good couple of hours! The place is remote enough to make you feel that you are one with nature. The place is really well equipped with all sort of foam target wildlife just enough to make you feel like you are on a “real” hunting expedition, without any of the actual bloodshed. You can easily rent the bows from them or bring your own. You can also buy the arrows, which you can then keep for your next adventure. I had a great time there!

Very helpful and informed staff. An absolutely lovely setting - well equipped with multiple ranges, a scenic catch and release pond, small cabins (for overnight stays), and ample grill/picnic space.Had a fabulous first time experience with archery, and will certainly return and recommend to others!
