Nurse Kate supported me with my new baby daughter after my recent c-section. As this is my first baby, I was nervous to make sure I was doing everything ‘right’! Kate filled me with confidence to not only take care of my baby but to also feel good about the choices I make regarding her care.Kate is compassionate and knowledgeable about newborns. She had, not only an answer for every question, but also tips, tricks and suggestions for how I could make this overwhelming process a little bit easier. My husband and I took Nurse Kate’s Breastfeeding 101 class a few wells before our baby son was born. We found the class very informative and helpful and we walked away from it feeling prepared to tackle some of the changes that come after birth: breastfeeding, burping, pumping, etc.. The booklet that she provided us with was also very helpful. We still find ourselves checking it the weeks after the baby’s been here to double check about milk storage, diapering and other details. I highly recommend this course. I felt ready to tackle breastfeeding as soon my son was born and have successfully been nursing him for three weeks! Thanks, Nurse Kate!

Having received very limited education/consultation after the birth, my husband and I left the hospital with many unanswered questions. As first-time parents, we went through the difficult phase of not knowing if our baby is getting a proper feed or if the baby's latching properly or how much food does the baby need during early weeks of growth. We reached out the hospital but was just advised to find a lactation consultant on our own. After reading all positive reviews, my husband reached out to Nurse Kate.She took the time to visit us on Canada Day and from our first conversation, she was able to make us feel confident about handling the needs of our baby. We found her to be very compassionate, caring and possess great deal of knowledge about the newborns. My husband and I were very anxious about our baby's food intake and frequency and Kate not only addressed all of our concerns related to it but also hands-on demonstrated how to properly latch/feed/handle the baby. She explained everything in a very simple way and gave us the self-assurance we needed as first-time parents. Not just that but after her visit, she followed up, prepared and provided us tailored information based on our (mine and baby's) individual needs assessment to help us further our knowledge about caring for our newborn. We are definitely glad that we found Kate and received her assistance. Kudos to her and the exceptional work she does! Thank you Kate!

As first time parents, Nurse Kate offered tremendous support and was a wealth of knowledge. She offered immediate advice over the phone and promptly set up an appointment to come see baby and mom in order to help facilitate breast feeding the same day. During the visit she answered all our questions, went over many helpful strategies for burping, calming baby, hand expression and went above and beyond to make sure dad also felt confident changing baby and adjusting the car seat for optimal safety. Kate brought useful information handouts and left us with a very detailed feeding regimen. She was available to answer additional questions via text message and email and followed up our appointment with a video conference. Her kind and caring nature was evident from the moment we spoke to Kate on the phone and her years of experience is clear as all of her suggestions are still being used by us today. We would highly recommend her services to all parents in order to jumpstart their journey into parenthood or as a refresher!

Nurse Kate was amazing to work with when I was struggling to breastfeed my newborn. She came to my house in the evening, and gave so many helpful strategies and tips which she modelled and walked me through. She was so supportive and really catered the strategies to my specific needs. For example, I had a bruised tailbone due to delivery and she adapted all of the strategies for me to breastfeed without putting weight on my tailbone. She also provided support for other areas including pumping and night time soothing. I would highly recommend Nurse Kate to all new parents, she made all of the difference for us!

My wife and I completed the Baby B's course with Nurse Kate before our daughter was born. As this was our first child, I had zero prior experience with babies or newborns. I felt the Baby B's course was thorough and covered all aspects of a babies needs. Nurse Kate is a great teacher, very engaging and allows you time for hands on experience to apply what you have learned. She was able to answer all of our questions and gave us the skill set and confidence we needed to tackle the role of parenting. I would highly recommend this course to anyone, especially first time parents.

We took Kate’s Baby B’s program in preparation for our second baby. After a challenging postpartum experience with my first, 8 yrs ago, I was determined to be supported the second time around. Baby B’s was a great refresher, but we also learned so much we wished we had known with our first. Kate is extremely caring and thorough. You can tell she is passionate about her work, helping families, moms and babies. Our baby came early so the second part of the course was after baby was born and done in our home. This was great because my biggest concern was successful breastfeeding. I wasn’t able to breastfeed my first due to extreme pain, bleeding and a lack of appropriate guidance/support to get through that time. Kate was so amazing and she is proof that with the right support you can do so much. After completing the second part of Baby B’s and one additional home visit with Kate, I am now successfully breastfeeding my one month old. This is after having very similar pain to my first and with a baby who has a minor tongue tie. Kate you are amazing and I could not have been successful this time around if it weren’t for you. Our family loves you and wishes you nothing but the best as you empower families through your program. Call her and you will not regret it.

Kate is such a wonderful person. She was extremely helpful during my first pregnancy. She’s very knowledgable and knows what she’s doing. From helping us to soothe my colic baby to teaching us how to best feed our baby, she’s always been there with her tips. Best prt is, she was willing to help even at odd ours. Thank you so much Kate!
