I have been on the streets of Barrie to witness your mealnprogram. And nighttime housing. Thank you!!!There is a group that is falling through the cracks. The funded homeless. Imagine a campground location for those people who are living on the streets or in tents. They will not go inside or have their lives taken over.They are funded and have skills could set up tensTs in a supervised green space outskirts away from downtown. Win win could pay their way. Want to control their own lives but like all society they need police garbage removal mental health services.They do not require much, but given a place and some materials could build their own cabins .One person or small group at a time. If you build it they will come.Thank you for all you are already doing . For the last two yearsbi have had 2000b dollars per month and have not been able to find a place to live given mental diagnosis.. looking for answers outside the box.

Staff here are very compassionate and helpful. Went to get information about a loved one and the staff gave us ways to get in touch with them ( no personal information was given out, nor did they confirm or deny whether the person we were looking for was there).

This is an extremely clean and well run branch of the Salvation Army!! You should be sure to take your turn helping in the kitchen and keeping it clean! The volunteers keep the soup kitchen going with their extreme generosity and unconditional LOVE!! If you need the help, get there during business hours, as it fills up very quickly and Always follow their Rules!!!

They help so many people and with the support of the community they allow those less fortunate to maintain their sense of dignity and self esteem by letting them know they are not alone and will always have somewhere to turn when things get rough please support your local salvation army by donating or volunteering your services thank you

The Sally" helps a lot of people who are in need of a place to rest their heads for the night. They provide a meal every day for lunch from 12 - 12:50pm & supper every evening from 5 - 7pm.They have an array of programs the community can access and utilize

It's a home away from home!Outstanding professional people (that care 100%), healthy fresh delicious meals, very clean environment, on site laundry, and very comfortable! Great room mates, large common room for TV and sports veiwing, rooms to rent as you get back on your feet!!!Thank you to all staff at Salvation Army, Barrie, ON. A blessing without a doubt!!!

The Salvation Army Bayside Mission workers have been absolutely wonderful. They are kind caring and have helped me in many ways and ive only been here for 3 days so far. I look forward to getting to know the staff here more and utilizing more of there services.
