Great choice of products and helpful staff.Disappointed to learn we can no longer play with the cats in the cat room unless youre looking to adopt. These cats are begging for attention at the window and there is a sign that says Come and play on the door. I think these cats are lonely and should be socialized.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!first of all, they lost their permit to sell dogs and cats due to the animals being in negligent conditions. Second, they have began harassing people about parking. A quick google search shows that their parking lot is owned by the city of Port Coquitlam, and therefore they have no control of their parking lot. When I spoke to the REGIONAL MANAGER he spoke to me with immense condescension, and kept repeating the words “listen, girl.” Which is extremely unprofessional. No wonder there’s never more than 2 patrons (other than highschool kids coming to harass the poor animals that are allowed to be handled without supervision) at a time. Corporate and CEO contacted. Report made to the BBB, and global news.

They sell sick and fake rabbit breeds. Do not trust them what they tell you the breeds are. Not spayed or neutered or vaccinated or checked by a vet so you will spend lots of money doing that yourself. Thousands of dollars for 1 rabbit!

Friendly and helpful staff. I actually hurt my back when I was there and the lady who saw me hobbling up off the floor was very concerned and offered to call someone for me, get a chair etc. She was very considerate of my pain/tears and carried my purchases to the car and loaded both them and me in, lol.Only complaint I have is that they have not had the Senior Acana dog food in the last three times I've needed it so I'm having to buy different sizes/brands which doesn't work towards my free bag the same way.

I love this store. They have different animals than pet smart with a huge collection of pet accessories and foods

First guy I spoke to seemed knowledgeable about fish at least, store policy not so much. Told me after buying fish for my kid that if they died within 30 days we could bring them back. We just needed to get a water test done. Water good, they replace the fish. Water bad, they give store credit so you can replace fish once water issue resolved. Sounds great. Except it's not. 2 fish put of 5 died the day we bought them. Brought them back with water to test like a day later. Tested water, everything was good except pH was low. Okay. Then they said because something was wrong with my water they would do nothing. Okay again. I actually understand that, I just wish I hadn't been told the exact opposite in every interaction prior to and immediately after buying the fish. I would have just stayed home.Moral of the story, when they tell you that they give store credit in lieu of replacement of fish in the event of a water issue, they don't.

its so cute to go see all the animals, great selection. the beta fish are kept in small aquariums with running water, unlike petsmart having them in tiny containers with no running water. still far too small for them to thrive but a step ahead from the rest. expensive toys but thats expected from any pet stores. i felt bad for one of the bird because it looked like it wanted to come out and be interacted with, looked lonely.

I had a great experience buying my beta to begin with, but when i came in a week later with some concerns they blew it out of the water with the customer service!!! The aquatics and reptiles specialist eased all my concerns, was super informative and very very nice! They gave advice on decor and floating plants and was so so pleasant. Super happy with my experience.

Do NOT buy fish from this store unless you check it over very well. They do NOT give refunds for dead or sick fish. They give fish credit" and you must bring in your water sample. So they can try to blame you before helping you.Prices are WAY over priced for fish and fish accessoriesAbout 50% more expensive than mr pets /petsmart and other fish shops.They have some membership prices but even that is high.E.g. 7.99 for cardinal tetra or something ridiculous like that."

I always have a really positive experience while I'm at petland. All the staff are super nice and knowledgeable. Yes the prices are a bit on the higher side but I don't mind when I know I'm getting products that are made in canada. I have several fish that I have purchased from them and all are happy and healthy
