Miso Taco
Our food and drinks were above average but not exceptional. This is more like a comfort food place with a nice vibe and not a complex fusion culinary experience, executed street-food style. If you are ok with that, then you will enjoy the food.The chicken karaage tacos are probably my favorite, with the chicken being exceptionally crispy. My margarita was balanced. It was made with calzadores, which is a very decent tequila for a cocktail. We also ordered the cheesy beef teriyaki and the tuna tatacos, which were fine.Our desert was just ok. The churros were nicely done but the roasted mochi was completely unnecessary. Imagine a vanilla yuzu ice cream with the churros and you hit jack pot.My only comment is that for the food to get better it requires more clean and distinct flavors. For the beef teriyaki for example the teriyaki sauce was covering everything else while in the tuna tataki tacos, the tuna was not that discernible.I think that the recipes need more work for the flavors to become more complex and unique. Right now it tastes like decent comfort food, but not like a fusion culinary street food experience.The place has some decent vfm, especially compared to TacoFino, $15 for three chicken tacos is good for Vancouver.I would visit again for the chicken karaage tacos and the margaritas.

Excellent food, worth a visit for sure. There's a huge variety of flavours on the menu and they all stick the landing. I especially recommend the teriyaki cheesy taco, the cheese crusted corn tortilla is exquisite. :)Went as part of a large group and the service kept up admirably! Looking forward to going again soon.

Absolutely LOVED it here! We tried the kimchi fries, the miso tacos, and the tuna tatacos. They were all amazing but definitely recommend the tuna tataco! Great prices and the service was super friendly and attentive. Will be coming back 100%!

Service was amazing, the waitress was very kind. However the food and drink were a mess. The bartender seemed to have little experience as they messed up our drink orders 4 times, giving us the wrong flavour drinks and mixing up the different types of wines. Three of the drinks we had initially tried to order were out of stock. The amount of fish in the miso tacos was ridiculous. They literally had two to four small cubes of fish in them. In general the place seemed understaffed, and its supposed to be in soft launch but there were no managers there.

A menu filled with a mouth-watering selection of fusion tacos and salsa pairings. We got the Miso Taco (of course), Chicken Karaage Taco, and Ramen My Wrap.Wanted to get the Kinako Mochi & Churros but the kitchen just happened to be out of mochi. Despite this, the kitchen generously surprised us with a sweet treat on-the-house!The restaurant is spacious and easily accessible with lots of surrounding street parking.We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. :)

We went there as a big group for lunch yesterday and i was honestly surprised how fast they brought us our food and wow was it delicious!! I highly recommend the cheese&mushroom starter and the epi fried taco and diego's special dip, SOO GOOD!! Loved the energy there, Diego, Hannah, Kyle, Natalie were so wonderful!

The servers and the vibe was great! However the food was mediocre. I honestly didn’t see how it was “Japanese Mexican Fusion.” Like the photo I added - I ordered Mexican Miso Soup and to make it “Japanese Mexican Fusion” they added cilantro and peppers and onions on the side… and that was all the dishes we ordered! The fried rice we ordered… they added lettuce and tomatoes - I wouldn’t call this place Japanese Mexican Fusion - it’s just adding common Asian or Mexican ingredients to common dishes.

Kyle is the best bartender ever!!!! So friendly and the best service.Great atmosphere and good vibes. Such tasty and creative food, can’t wait to be back!!
