Cole's Guitar Lessons

Cole is an excellent teacher! He takes a very positive and engaging approach to his lessons. He is always introducing my son to new and challenging pieces of music, and he always goes the extra mile by providing additional instructional videos and such to his students. Not many, if any, other teachers do that. And he often provides other support for his students outside the classroom, helping with gigs and with choosing/purchasing the right instruments. He's quite dedicated to his students!

I recently completed my first term learning the ukulele with Cole. He is a great teacher – kind, patient, and passionate about teaching. The lessons were structured around learning chords through playing songs. Cole is very positive and encouraging, and he allows his students to progress through their own discovery, experimentation and learning. Cole provides a video summary after each lesson, which is very helpful. Highly recommended.

Cole is a wonderful teacher. I was an absolute beginner when I started taking lessons. Cole is very patient and always positive, which helps you feel comfortable when your taking lessons in group settings. I appreciate that he allows students own music interests to be incorporated into the lesson as well. I went from only knowing how to play a few simple chords to playing a duet with Cole for our end of term concert- all in a 3 month period. This would not have been possible without Cole’s encouragement and guidance. If you’re an adult- beginner interested in learning how to play guitar/ukulele or improve existing skills, I cannot recommend Cole enough.

My son who is now 10, began lessons with Cole when he was just 6 years old. Cole’s way of engaging with him is what makes his lessons fun to attend. He encourages creativity and style while developing timing and technique. I highly recommend Cole as his caring shows in each of his students performances. He’s put together bands and my son is now writing his own songs and lyrics! Liam looks forward to going each week. We love you Cole!!5 Stars!

I had tried to learn guitar many times but never stuck with it until I started taking lessons from Cole 2.5 years ago. He structures his lessons around the type of music you want to learn and is so supportive and encouraging. He also creates lesson videos each week which makes a huge difference in my learning. Cole is so awesome and I would highly recommend him as a teacher for people of all levels. He meets you wherever you are at and makes learning and practicing fun!

Cole is a very dedicated teacher and a wonderful person, I am really happy that we found him. I am happy with my son's guitar classes and certainly reccomend Cole to anyone who is interested in learning or developing their music skills. I love watching the kids of all ages perform at the recitals and notice their progress. Each time I see more new students and even bands! Although my son is already pretty busy with his high school program and it takes him about 40 minutes to commute to Cole's place he never wants to quit the lessons as he likes them a lot.

Absolutely ADORE Cole's lessons! A very fun teacher to be around with. I like that he is very flexible with what music you want to learn.He makes recitals" to unite people with the same interests

Cole is a knowledgeable, energetic and fun teacher who imparts solid technique and at the same time instills a deep appreciation of music. He is extremely professional and warm in his communication style. Our daughter who is 11 has been taking lessons with Cole for 5 years. She started with ukulele and is now playing electric and Spanish guitar. Cole has also put a band together with other students of the same age. It’s all great and exciting! I highly recommend Cole as a guitar instructor.

Cole is an excellent, inspiring and thoughtful instructor and is also considerate and patient. He has been instructing my daughter since she was 5 years old, allowing her to pursue her own musical tastes and encouraging her to try new things, including performance and song writing. At 8 years of age, thanks to Cole, she now has the confidence, skills and love of music to play and quickly learn new favourite songs on her own. I highly recommend Cole’s classes.

I loved Cole's class! I haven't taken guitar in 15 years and after the first (complimentary) placement class, I was put in a level that worked with my schedule and skill level. The song selection presented the right level of challenge. He's observant, and gives concise tips that helped me both in the class and in getting into a practice rhythm outside of class (which I found was the real key to improving.)I appreciate Cole's style of teaching - he gives attention to both the individual and group. He plays with you and also improvises on top of us playing basic rhythms which gives a real sense of 'jamming' together, and motivated me to get good enough to play with friends.The lessons are in a comfortable homey setting central to public transit.The next time I can take a guitar class again, it'll be Cole's Guitar Lessons!
