All of the 1 star reviews are unwarranted. I got the meat dumplings and they were delicious! The milk tea is sugary and amazing just like a milk tea should me. The staff was so friendly. Anyone who doesn't have a good experience here...let's just say they smell their own farts.

Was in the area, so decided to give it a try. Very clean restaurant and the cashier/waitress was attentive (but we were the only table at the time. Cash and Debit onlyFood was good, but way too salty (esp the crawfish noodle). Didn't bother bring it up because maybe that's how it was supposed to be and mostly we were in a hurry...

I stumbled upon this place after a long day of walking in the rain (downtown Vancouver to Richmond) . I thought my experience was a little odd; until I started reading the other reviews. The food was good, I can't say anything bad about it, but the service was strange. As a white guy who speaks fluent mandarin I felt like I was intruding on there lunch break (I didn't want to interact with the staff). As someone who was tired and hungry I just wanted to leave.

Limited English signage so a bit hard to find. Look for the circle chili logo. Entrance is on the outaide of the parking garage. Very clean, great food and large portions. Taste was great and authentic. Definitely recommend for Hunan style food. Mapo Tofu even had the numbing Sichuan/Szechuan (Ma La) chile oil. Also accommodationed for vegetarian options by removing pork from the Mapo Tofu. Staff was friendly and attentive.

We got there a bit late so nobody there, love it! First impression for me was really clean and organized. Then warm welcome from the staffs, really happy customer service. I never had this foods before so just choose spicy noodle soup because I love noodle and spicy. We loved all what we've ordered. All really delicious, we were really enjoyed our foods. So recommend to visit them, you will be happy like us. We'll definitely go back again

We ended up going to this place after finding out HK BBQ Masters was out of roast pork for the evening. Hunan Kitchen is just right beside it and decided to give it a try. Food was not great and was not bad either. I want to leave a review for the service tho. Service was great, one of our dishes had hair in it and quickly called the server. Without hesitation, took the dish away and said didn’t have to pay for it and got us some to choose another item on the menu. Typically, there would be a discussion before resolving the issue. Pretty much instantaneous solution and the replacement dish quick to come. Definitely five stars for the service. Sometimes outstanding services like this would make us go back and this is one of them.

The food was very good. The 1 star is for the TERRIBLE service we just had by a lady who served us. She barely understood what we were trying to order and she was so unbelievable rude to us. She obviously did not want to serve us and made it a point. So trying to not get on her bad side I got up to ask for more water, another soda, and some salt. When it came to pay my ticket I got up and went to pay at the counter to not bother asking her to bring it, and she was asking that I HAD to forcecibily pay additional tips for her even after she had been a terrible waitress. I'm a server and always pay 20% or more cause I know how it is but would never try to force anyone in paying tips after offering a terrible service.I'm sorry but she was so rude it was unnecessary.

I ordered a chicken, that’s what I get for $25. We call and confirmed, and the front desk said, yes, that’s the set, it’s a soup, but no it’s no in the soup section of the menu. It’s in the meat section. Even if it called a soup, it should have more soup, right?

This is one of the better Hunan style restaurants in metrovan area. I've dined there a few times and noticed that the chef there has put quite some effort to improve or modify the flavors. Some of the dishes are very authentic, and only people from Hunan could understand. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. BTW, the services there is great too!

$27.99 braised pork?? Around 12 pieces... amazing.
