Alex helped me to a pre-purchase inspection on a BMW and identified major hidden leaks that the seller attempted to hide. He saved me thsouands in repairs if I had gone ahead with the purchase. Very happy.

I had a very good experience at North Star. After some diagnostics, they recommended a course of action that didn't make them any money, but was the right thing to do. I appreciate the honesty and candor of this shop. I recommend them.

Alex is a fantastic mechanic, worked on our BMW and Volvo cars for more than a decade. He's honest, only recommends fixing what really needs repair, no gouging. And he's friendly to boot! I highly recommend him for any and all Euro cars!

I had a great experience they replaced my Chevy traverse windshield for the best price. A snowplough on a bridge smashed my windshield other places were charging close to $1000 these guys are half price with great result. The other guys told me that it was so expensive because the calibration is very difficult they had no problem with it here. Everything works perfectly the lane assist has no problem I would use these guys again anytime. I honestly believe if I had any problem they would help me fix it and I would be satisfied with the insulation

Super honest guys! Always take the time to explain what's going on, show you whats been replaced and stuff that's important or stuff that can wait. I've had suspension work and brakes done here and I've always been satisfied, only thing they don't do is alignments. It can also be hard to reach them by phone at times but usually I can just leave a message and count on them to get back to me. With the money they've saved me, the phone situation is not enough to make me give them any less than 5 stars.

Alex is always reliable. I have had him fix my VW's for years! When something doesn't need to be done, he tells you. When it really does, he tells you that too. Open and transparent with his billing. Car is always ready when he says it will be. I would recommend Northstar Motors to ANYONE!!!

Best mechanic place I’ve ever been to. Asked them to fix my brakes and my check engine light. They said I needed 1 wheel bearing and it would save money on labour if I did it now while the tires were off anyways. Also said my check engine light was a sensor and was still under warrant for a recall. Told me to go to the dealer so it would be free. Didn’t charge me a thing for checking that!A few months later I went back to check a glow plug light and a noise in my front.. didn’t charge me for diagnosing the light and said the dealer should do it as it’s still covered under warranty.Would highly recommend!!!
