Kids First Creative Child Care

All my 3 kids have been through this daycare. I presently have my 4 year old here and he loves it! especially the healthy and culturally diverse meals they serve. Staff are respectful and genuinely care and love the kids. I find the director to be very patient and considerate. She is always present at the daycare and dedicated to the well being of the children. I also appreciate the culture of diversity that is visible in the daycare which you rarely find around in calgary. I give this daycare a 4 out of 5 stars because I know that as humans we can never be perfect and there is always room for improvement but over all, I recommend and will continue to recommend this daycare to friends and family.

As a parent, you want to send your child somewhere where you know they will be safe, loved, and encouraged. This has been my experience in the 2 years that my son has been attending Kids First Creative. I am actually quite shocked at the negative reviews I have read, as this has not been my experience or perception of this place at all.This place is not dirty or smelly...in fact, I see the ladies on a rotating schedule to clean all the time. Perhaps someone might say that about an older building, which they have recently made new renovations.Franci and the child care staff have created a clean, educational, and supportive environment for my son to thrive in. They take the time to get to know him and my family and celebrate his culture, along with the diversity of cultures that are welcomed with open arms.They also serve home-cooked nutritional food daily, which I am thankful for.It is clear that the staff are well-experienced and more than competent in their role. My kiddo loves his teachers and talks about them all the time! It is refreshing and relieving to know that I am sending him to people who truly love and care about him every single day. I have another baby on the way and would not even think about sending them anywhere else, based on my lovely experience with this facility so far.

My daughter attended this daycare for over 3 years and would have been longer had we not moved. I feel the director really cares and is always around the daycare ensuring your child is in good hands. The teachers are really welcoming and warm. There have been a few tenured teachers during the 3 year period that my daughter really bonded with and will miss a lot. They have helped her thrive and the Montessori program was great and I noticed a huge improvement in her development and independence from the first few weeks. They also have regular pictures and stories they send to you about your child pretty much daily, so you can share in your child’s day.

My toddler has been going to this day care since he was 10 months old. He is now 2 and half. I have had an amazing experience with the teachers involved in his care . They are so caring and understanding. My boy still has not learned to talk in full sentences, but the teachers always understand his needs and address then in timely manner. His enthusiasm when i drop him off in the morning tells me all i need to know !! Francie, the operator is very responsive to concerns and takes time to address them personally. When my boy was still an infant, due to sensitive skin he would end up with diaper rashes. When I expressed concern about it with Francie, she personally followed up with the teacher to ensure his special needs were being met. I am happy as i know my boy is in competent and caring hands. My boy is not a big eater, rather a frequent eater. I have never found him hungry when i bring him back home as the teachers ensure he has something to eat even after the schedule meals. They prepare healthy meals from scratch ensuring a variety of food is available for the children. This day care is not “stingy “ about giving children the food they need as they know healthy food is essential to children’s growth and development.

my daughter started go to kids first creative 2 years ago I love the teachers they so polite kind caring compassion to kids my experience in day care is good miss France is wonderful person to communicate my first daughter went this day care from 1 to 12 years I was so happy. When I had second I was to bring to this day care because of the the good care my oldest got I thank u for everything all teacher do my kid and miss France wonderful person always smiling

June 9, 2022: Response to the response from the childcare -My kids definitely went to Kids First Choice and we dealt with Ms. Francey which I’m sure not all daycares have a director that share the same name in Cedarbrae. I also attached photo of the daycare that they attended which in fact is your daycare. I would never mistaken a daycare that called myself and husband rascist because we were withdrawing our kids, then proceed to tell us we are going to go to hell and that we are the colour of “white people” so we are trying to scam them and proceeding to yell at us. My husband also asked to get in touch with the owner of the daycare and she would not provide us with their info and said they are not in the country.Bullies to the parents, the kids and their own staff!ORIGINAL REVIEW-I had my kids there a while back and was afraid to review this place based on the negative and traumatic experience we had there. Given at the time my kids attended this daycare, there was some nice ladies there but they left during or/and right after we left. My youngest would cry and beg me not to leave him there and sometimes I would hear yelling from outside but quickly stop when I would enter the building.We gave them notice when we were not going to return for daycare. The head lady tried to overcharge us. We went in to talk to her about the billing and she started using slander towards us. Telling us we were going to go to hell and we were racist (husband Spanish and I’m Caucasian) and told my husband since he was the colour of myself that he was white and we were trying to scam her. We were nothing but polite and trying to have a harmless conversation with her. Very aggressive and very traumatic. Would not recommend. After all of this, we still paid the month, did not get our deposit back and they sent me to collections. Very unprofessional, rude and a bully to parents and kids.

I met with the owner and she was very responsive, professional and reliable. Franci gave me a tour of the daycare at a time when she was extremely busy. She was able to answer all of my questions and I never once felt rushed. Daycare is spacious, clean, and filled with great books and toys. I especially love that they offer Montessori. Great staff!

I was hesitant to take our kids to Kids First after reading some reviews but meeting with Ms. Francey changed my mind. I understand that when kids are involved that people can overreact or even not think with clarity, just look at hockey parents. My kids loved their time there. Everyday they would bring home pieces of art and tell me what they learned. They made so many friends, too. The staff was great, always welcoming, which made the adjustment period when they first started to go very easy. We homeschool now, but I can’t say enough good things about Kids First Creative and would recommend this daycare to anyone who wants their kids to be safe and to be cared for everyday they have to be away from mom and dad.

My daughter and my son attended Kids First Creative Child Care Centre for over one year. At the beginning, my husband and I wasn’t sure if we will register our kids here, because some bad reviews on google. However, we took time to go to the daycare to observe the place, the activities with the kids and to talk with Ms. Francey, not only about the kid’s programs but also about the bad comments. She explained to me why some parents wrote those comments; she also promised to take care of my children as they were her own. We decided to give to her a chance, because she said that she is Christian and we also prefer Christian daycares. I’d never regretted it, because Ms. Francey kept her promise and she also proof her faith in many other ways. She helped us not only to follow special diets for our kids, but also to provide the Montessori program and all the other services for free, when we didn’t have money to pay. I know that Ms. Francey also helped other families that had financial trouble during the covid pandemic. Finally, we decided to homeschool our kids to do what God commanded us to do with them, which also helps our finances, but my kids will always affectionately remember Ms. Francey and other teachers that took good care of them. My children also loved many friends and activities with them in the daycare and Montessori program. It was a great blessing for our family; we are all very thankful and we recommend this daycare with no doubt.

My children attended this daycare for several years and also went through the Montessori Preschool program. They had a very positive experience with the wonderful staff as well as the owner. It's a very friendly, kind and warm environment for children.
