Amazing food and drinks! Myself and my son Mason really enjoyed our first Tap & Barrel Experience! (I know, crazy they have been here for a year and we’ve never stepped foot into the building!)My son had the kids Mac n cheese and I enjoyed the Hot Honey Calabrese Pizza! He said it’s the only thing he wants to eat while watching paw patrol now!While the atmosphere was modern and fun, and the food menu was great the beer menu is what really shined for me! All local BC Craft Beer! With some really awesome beers from Vancouver and beyond you don’t get to see much out this way! Whoever curates that beer menu deserves a promotion!The service was great, the food was delicious and my son and I will definitely be back to see the Tap Team!

Came here on a Sunday for late lunch. Picked to sit on the patio on a warm Sunday afternoon. Getting a couple of drinks and food from the happy hour menu. The happy hour burger was lightweight but good for happy hour. My seltzer is a bit watery. My wife's red sangria was very good.

First time taking my parents out for HH. Service was meh. Our server Alexa S did not check at all to refill beverages nor did she offer any water to the table. The brocollini was extremely sour but we did get a remake on them. Quinoa was extremely overcooked and clumpy. Not enough sauce on the salmon. Waffle Fries were undercooked as well. Spent about $108 for 3 of us. Could've been a better experience for sure, some kind of compensation from the managers would explain been nice, no mangers touched based on our table at all and the whole experience seemed rushed from the server as if she was trying to turn tables fast. Ive been working for cooperate restaurant for over 10 years, definitely not the way to treat customers.

Bret (usually the Bar Manager) was our server tonight and his service was extraordinary. He is incredibly affable, kind and helpful and I have to say he definitely made us feel comfortable. There is a fun buzz in Tap and Barrel which reflects on the social and engaging atmosphere, the interesting and fun loving servers and hosts as well as the yummy, delightful food on offer. We had the Pesto Linguine with chicken and the Steak with Peppercorn sauce. For dessert we enjoyed Oreo cheesecake and Sticky Toffee pudding. Both were scrumptious but my husband is Scottish so he says “more caramel sauce for the sticky toffee pudding” but otherwise you knocked it out of the park Tap and Barrel!!! Hugs, South Rock couple that looks forward to returning!

The food taste good and the restaurant has a nice clean/modern ambiance. We stayed in the patio and there's plenty of heaters to warm the area. Service is really slow though.Also, I watched a server touch my dessert with his bare hands before coming into the patio area to serve it. It was so unappetizing and a food safe issue. We told him about it and he excused that the ice cream is falling off so he had to fix it and that he washed his hands.Later that night my coworker shared to us that when they served her food, the server's hand also touched the top of the plate, touching her food. She just didn't point it out.

My mom and I dined here Friday night. We had such An amazing, friendly server Marina S. She is such a sweetheart. She took her time with us, and happy to have a conversation. Food was amazing, quickly seated, and great atmosphere. 5 star as always.

This is my new go-to hangout in South Surrey now.Plentiful free parking, great ambience and food to die for. My daughter ordered the Pesto Linguine and my wife and I got the Cajun burger. The Cajun suggests it's too spicy but it wasn't, just right. Very flavorful and balanced. A pint of beer made it even better!Also the service was top notch. The waitress was gorgeous, polite and extremely pleasant.

We’ve been to this location 2 times, the last being this past weekend for a birthday dinner. I generally don’t leave negative reviews but it’s warranted this time. 2 of the orders we placed were missed, a drink and a meal. We asked for an update on the meal and it was brought when everyone else finished dinner so we just asked for it to be packed up and let the waiter know that it was unfortunate that one person didn’t get dinner. The waiter was helpful and I guess he told the manager thinking the manager would be of help. The manager came over uninvited and proceeded to give us a condescending apology. At the end she told us it was our fault and that we should ensure we order from the correct server next time, putting the blame on us, instead of saying the other server should’ve called our server over. The server we ordered from had brought over some drinks so we asked for another meal and she took the order. We would’ve rather the manager not even come over, it just dampened the mood since we were already not happy with not receiving a meal. I told the manager her apology wasn’t really an apology and she responded with “well I don’t know what you want for me sir” when it would’ve been better if she didn’t even come over. I paid the bill (about $350) and still tipped well, came home and noticed they charged for an extra drink. That was the tipping point and I’ve now written this review hoping the manager will see it and improve her customer service skills. Haven’t had this sort of experience at other locations or other restaurants.

Very nice Tap and Barrell location with lots of seating! They have happy hour every day from 2-5pm with a decent menu. The food is tasty. I love their truffle waffle fries! The kids meals are a good deal, so if you're coming with kids I'd recommend choosing from those.The atmosphere is very nice. It can get pretty loud when it's busy. I recommend visiting it!
