As a woman working at Umicore Autocat, I get equal pay and compensation. I have been promoted when I was recognized for working hard and helping to train others on the line. I know this work is primarily a male-dominated field, but at Umicore, I am not treated any differently. The pay and benefits are great.

The work is good at Umicore Autocat and all of the people here are good people to work with. There are people who will take a new person under their wing and that’s the way I was when I first started. Now I find myself doing the same to our recently hired folks.

Everyone was really supportive, kind and I have learned so much from working here. Awesome pay for the work performed and management is always encouraging us to be our best. Women are especially catered to do their best because this is usually a male dominated industry but this place is an exception to that. Plus we get to have all kinds of longtime perks.

What I like about manufacturing work is the intense focus of the work and the physical exercise you get in the process. I also like knowing that with Umicore, we are giving new life to used metals. I believe everyone should be conscious of environmental issues.

I have worked at other companies similar to Umicore Autocat, but I have never felt as comfortable and as appreciated for a job well done, as I do work here. They recognize good work and it doesn’t matter if you are a male or female. Promotions are performance-based.

I've been working at Umicore for a couple of years and I don’t plan on going anywhere. Everyone here is very productive but not too up tight. It's a great work environment with all kinds of people. I love the conversations I have with fellow employees and appreciate everyone’s willingness to help each other.

I have met some really great people at Umicore. The manufacturing business is not easy work. It takes focus and hard work but the rewards and the perks that you get here are exceptional. With focus and hard work, promotions come pretty fast.

I feel blessed to be employed by a company such as Umicore who embraces sustainability. Once more we as employees have had steady work throughout the entire pandemic. Here we feel 100% safe because our employer follows COVID-19 guidelines. We all wear masks. We’re also screened on a regular basis and so are any contractors who may enter the facility. I probably feel safer here then I do anywhere else.
