Great transient docks. Very modern welcome centre building with clean washrooms, showers, including a handicap shower, and laundry. Historic ship related artifacts in a couple of buildings. Restored forestry ships in working condition.

This place is so cool. I was doing an apprenticeship as a marine mechanic that's how I came across this place. The whole dock is so cool there's 2 little museums and a wildlife pavilion where you can look down into the water. Also a little restaurant. I love it there

We visited in our sailboat in the middle of winter snow storms. The toilets and showers were clean, warm, and inviting. During the day the Welcome Centre was open where we could get off the boat, read a book, or use our computers. Due to COVID masks were required and physical distancing. The Welcome Centre is big enough that this was easy to achieve. We had a great visit and think you will too.

Best place in town!The staff are fabulous. Mike (The manager) is super friendly and helpful. He is wealth of knowledge with a very complex background \ education related to marine environments and managing people, safety and is an excellent public relations person.The coffee shop \ restaurant has a beautiful dock side setting and sometimes hosts music events.There are educational exibits for the kids as well as a marine museum and heritage boats to explore.The Ladysmith Pirate Day is a fantastic event for kids that is put on in the early summer. There is often bouncy castles, fishing, boat rides, tours and other activities.

Really well run marina. This is also a great place to spend an afternoon learning about the ocean and the seaside mammals and fish. There's a diner and a good selection of books.

Beautiful local marina. Lots to see, restaurant, museum, boats, kid's place, historical info and articles. Community gem- and volunteers built and run!! Amazing.
