Dr. Loretta Marcon

I recently had my first visit with Dr. Marcon and she was professional, pleasant and competent - I felt like I was in the hands of an experienced doctor.Miles away from the other 3 gynaecologists I have seen on the island (2 private, one public sector).I was clearly explained the fees, the options of taking either a free pap-test or a paid version of the test.I appreciate that Dr. Marcon also offers the possibility of having an ultrasound done on site. The cost was 220$ (which was way cheaper than the prices I saw at private clinics).The advantage of getting the ultrasound with Dr Macron, despite it not being free, is that you get the test and the interpretation of the results right away, rather than waiting for results to be transmitted from hospital to doctor.The only slight downside was the cycle of moving from one receptionist to another, to get pap test, the see dr, or to get ultrasound - it is not the fastest. I spent about 2 hours in the morning getting my file started and all of the above tests + consultation. IMO that was worth it - I accomplished more than I did in months of jumping thru hoops to get referrals and appointments.For the record, both receptionists were very nice - maybe they did not appear to be in a frantic rush to tend to all the clients as fast as possible. They were just working at a normal pace and were nice whenever I interacted with them.So whatever time is spent, I still think it is worth it. It is not too drastically slow - and I don't mind reserving a bit more time for my appointment knowing I will get quality care, rather than being rushed through the funnel more efficiently"."

I have been seeing Dr Marcon for about 10 years. The receptionist is very kind. The Dr is very professional and knowledgeable. Feel fortunate to be one of her patients. Truly grateful to Dr Marcon and her staff.

Comments don’t know what they are talking about, get a backbone and get with the times these people are under stress. It’s only normal the job comes with attitude. The service and doctor are A++

Masks are mandatory, but they don’t provide them for free, you have to pay CASH for a mask, I told the receptionist I didn’t have cash on me so she insisted I go to the ATM and take out money. I lost 6.5$ for the ATM and my bank just so she can charge me 2$ for a mask that she should be providing for FREE. If you want to force people to wear masks either provide them for free or let them know when they book an app to bring one. Dr Marcon is ok but her receptionist is very rude and disrespectful. Almost everyone complains about her and yet we see no change in her attitude

I have nothing against Dr Marcon, but then again I never had a problem that could be misdiagnosed... I hope. BUT I have been calling and calling for an appointment without ever getting through. Their system needs to be updated or someone else hired so that we might get served in a reasonable period of time! After all if she has too many patients she makes more money and therefore should be able to afford it. If I could find another gynecologist I would change in a heartbeat!!!

I've never had a more unpleasant experience with a medical professional. While in the waiting room rhe Doctor came storming in demanding to know who the smoker was. She made every effort to humiliate me. What ever happened to respect for people's choices? Now, I am turning 59 soon yet both the receptionist and the Doctor did their best to sell me a vaccination for HPV. Neither bothered to explain that this vaccine has almost no benefits for my age group and is not recommended. They also took pains to try to sell me a new, more sensitive PAP smear. The message, again being that the free one is so much less sophisticated as to be almost useless. The message was loud and clear, pay or suffer the consequences. The Doctor was rushed and inattentive. Would ask me questions about my medical history but not have the patience to listen to my answers. I also noticed the propaganda prominently displayed on her door. Basically saying how paying for diagnostic tests benefits everyone! I can assure you it doesn't benefit people like myself who are living on fixed incomes and can barely make ends meet. This Doctor has a clear bias towards privatization and has little interest in providing quality health care unless you can pay for it.

Somebody introduced Dr. Marcon to me and said she is very good. However, I read the reviews so I was discouraged to see Her.I need to say what is fair. I visited Dr. Marcon recently, the receptionist did a good job. Nice and welcoming.Dr. Marcon is the sweetest doctor I have ever seen in my life. Happy to find my favorite gyno. She was patient and knowlegable too. I loved her...By the way, the reviews say the office force you to do expensive tests on site. But that was not true. They did not force anything. They just asked if I want to do it on-site or go to the hospital. They even explain the that hospital (takes a month) is free but in the office is 200 CAD (they can do it now). They gave me freedom and they were very honest about that. I definitely recommend Dr. Marcon because of her knwolege and her attitude.

I have been a patient for 21 years and have absolutely nothing bad to say about the doctor nor the staff. Everyone has always been nice and trustworthy. Dr. Marcon is professional and personable. The only issue is the waiting time, which has unfortunately been worse than others. Also, location is not the easiest to get to by car. Otherwise, satisfied with the service!

I love Dr. Marcon. I read some of the other reviews and this was not at all my experience. I have only had positive experiences there with both the front desk and the Dr. Herself who is very pleasant and personable. I just had a follow up last week and would recommend this doctor . My mother was also a patient at this clinic.

Dr Marcon is very professional and she's fast. If u r looking for a dr that will sit down with you and hear ur life story, she's not for you.For me she's perfect we go to the point and bye bye not loosing our time.Before it was a girl at the front desk that wasn't pleasant it's truth but it's a long time that she's not there anymore.
