Broadacres Park
Nice park. Largest park in the Etobicoke West Mall area. Large grassy area, but lacks trails or amenities.

Hey family,Here’s an honest review of my visit to Broadacres Park located at The West Mall & Burnhamthorpe Road. I made the visit on Jan 6, 2022 and I wanted to share my experience with you below:Location/ Park amenities: 1 starA 5.7 hectare park near Burnhamthorpe Road and The West Mall featuring a ball diamond, a children's playground and a large open green space. Should you visit here with a little one there is plenty for them to do. One amenity that could potentially go here is a nice splash pad considering there is a pool down the street. Aside from that, this park offers a lot. Note* There are NO washrooms on site.Staffing: 1 starI’ve noticed the city does stay on top of the maintenance of this property. It is a shared space with the Shaver site which I believe is a heritage site. Garbage and curb appeal are maintained so this gets a 1 out of 1 for me.Equipment: Half a starAll of the Broadacres park equipment is clean, maintained and safe to use. There are different elements that make it fun for children including a jungle gym and swing set. It all looks new-ish so no complaints here compared to some of the older parks in the city.Service: 1 starThis park has a level C service for the baseball diamond. It’s as follows:Not irrigated, Home Plate, Groomed 1 time per week, Cut 1 time per week, Aerified 1 time annually, Fertilized 1 time annually, Overseeded 1 time annually, Topdressed 1 time annuallyWow factor: Half a starThe wow factor for Broadacres is the dedicated size and green space. It seems a bit unusual to have a park this big in the heart of Etobicoke but the city can definitely utilize this green space in a better way to serve a lot of the condos and apartments AND homes nearby. We always like going for a walk past here.I always enjoy rating parks and public space as they are used by many people and serve the community in many different ways. I hope this review helps make your park visiting decision easierIn total I give it a 4 out of 5.Until next time…

Broadacres Park
Very big and open, has a historical house in one side and a public school on other. They will be adding a basketball court by 2019. Only one Pokemon Gym in Park and few pokestops.

Decent neighbourhood park, close to Timmies. Renovated play ground for kids. Doubles up as a teen hangout at night.

Broadacres Park
Its a fair size area that connects the Shaver Applewood heritage homstead where they facilitate weddings, meetings & other event rental space, a TDSB Jr. PS and playground for the residential community. A basketball court is planned for a part of the area.

It is, in fact, a broad park. I don’t know how many acres it is, and besides… I thought we were metric now. Anyway, great place.
