Hi guys, i have heard Canadian health system is not good no matter the big cities like Toronto or Montreal. This was my first time getting admitted in the emergency department in Canada and my experience was awesome with this place. Nursing staff was so caring and friendly. I can see bad reviews about this place. It can be because of high pressure on the staff and handling multiple patients at the same time. I really appreciate their service. I really wish they provide same care and attention to the other patients and keep up the amazing work!!!!!

After waiting almost 10 hours I went home because no doctors or beds are available. Easily the worst hospital I have had the unfortunate luck to step Inside. The triage nurses are extremely rude and if you attempt to ask about your wait time you get ignored. They did manage to lose all my clothing when they moved me from the ambulance drop bay to the waiting area, so at least they accomplished something.

I had an excellent experience, I saw a doctor named Nicole, she had a medical student with her whose name I forgot I feel bad about that, and Dr. Singh. The 3 doctors were excellent. Yes the wait was long but waits are long everywhere. There was an elderly gentlemen volunteer who brought food and water to the people who were waiting and it was definitely one of the better hospital experiences I've had.

The working conditions these nurses are exposed to may have caused them to develop PTSD, which could explain their lack of empathy. However, this still does not justify their inhumane treatment of patients. My own experience at this facility was appalling, and it's unacceptable. After reflecting on the situation, I would never trust the care of a loved one in this facility. The thought of it makes me too nervous, knowing the treatment they could receive. The administration overseeing this facility should be held accountable and behind bars for allowing such conditions to exist and continue to get worse

Spent 7 hours in the first waiting room only to leave because I was still 8th in line to be seen by a doctor despite having been there almost three hours before everyone else.I think the nurse that took me in didn’t take my concerns seriously when she triaged me; was very snippy and tried to dismiss my concerns as “mental health”The waiting room is also unbearably cold and even though they offer blankets, they’re thin and don’t combat the chill at all especially in the night.Overall a horrible experience

These individuals work very tirelessly to deliver the best care possible. While I understand that everyone’s experiences are different, I doubt that they are consciously aware of doing further harms on people. They are doing the best they can do for what their administrators and “leadership” have given them.My praise goes to every staff member within the emergency department and the paramedics that did exceptional work to stabilize my father. My rating reflects this deep appreciation. I will score lower to their powers that be.

I understand that a lot of people have had bad experiences with this place, but I just want to explain that as bad as things are...They are not always so bad. In the past two weeks, my mother passed away, and I myself had to go to the hospital to get stitches for a head wound. Both when taking some time with my mother to say goodbye, and when arriving by ambulance to get patched up, every staff member that I dealt with was very polite, attentive, friendly, and caring. I wish everyone else had better experiences but all I can talk about is my own, and my experience was positive. Thank you.

Great experience today. I saw a very kind and knowledgeable doctor that took time for my concerns. All within 50 minutes from first entering the building.

I was here yesterday evening for 5 hours, I was in a car accident and couldn’t move my neck. A lady in front of me said she had been waiting there for 8 hours with chest pain to the nurses walking by. I do not know her condition or situation but she was told multiple times that they can take her vitals but she has to wait a few more hours which is concerning considering her chest. Despite this fact the nurses, doctors, and X ray technicians I had were amazing! They were respectful and made me feel like I mattered. They listened and I could hear them talking to other people in the hallway and they were nothing but kind. I know that the wait times are not their fault and they made the experience better even when it was exhausting. For their help alone I rate it higher (they work harder than anyone I’ve seen) but if your symptoms are not serious enough you will be waiting extreme wait times.

I’ve been in line for almost 10 hours now. The triage didn’t ask about any pain I was having, any medical conditions I might have, nothing. Nurses are EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. I don’t understand how this can be considered a first world country with a system like this.
