BIV is my first choice publication in BC for business news. It has a wealth of information weekly. From real estate to green energy, if you're researching for business in BC, make BIV your first choice. My first job in sales was before the internet, BIV was a great place to find leads. With a wealth of places online to choose from to research for leads, I still find nuggets of information weekly in my BIV.

I work with individuals to find employment. Many times the BIV articles will give the clients info to draw from to make decisions pro or con on a field of work. It is such a great tool for decision making and opportunity to learn new information about the fields of work out there.

I just received the November 8-14 issue and was enjoying what I read until I came to Page 26. There was the smerking face of Mike Harcourt, a has-been past Premier and Mayor of Vancouver who has done more harm than good in our Province... and yet, he still gets press time. He is against Site C - a project that will bring clean power to all British Columbians for decades to come, just as the other two projects on the Peace have done since the 1960's. He was against the Kemano Completion Project and cancelled that. I spoke with one of the Project Managers on that job and he was stunned that Harcourt cancelled the work half way through, sending new electrical equipment for scrap and wasting billions of dollars. Had that been built, we may not need Site C for another decade or so. Mike also takes pride in cancelling the proposed Vancouver freeway system in the 1960's - something that was a BIG mistake. We are the only city in a first world country that doesn't have an expressway system - and he is proud of that?? St. John's, Newfoundland has a better highway system than us. Guess Mike doesn't get out much or he has no where to go! As a result, hundreds of thousands of hard working folks in the Lower Mainland suffer needlessly each and every day because he didn't like cars. They aren't going away and as a result of his failed experiment and anti-car sentiment, we all lose far too much time and money in wasted fuel every day trying to navigate Vancouver streets... streets that are now forced to take freeway-level traffic because of that selfish decision he made in the 1960's. Why he still gets press time is beyond me. What a waste of ink and space! If this is the type of source you have to go to for a story, it's time we cancelled our subscription!
