Padrino's Italian Ristorante
I was working in the area, and stopped to get a room at the Best Western hotel, after checking in I noticed a Sign for the in house restaurant. Well that’s very convenient I might as well try it out, I wouldn’t have to move my truck. It’s easy to find right next to the Tony Roma’s as well. It’s very nice, and comfortable, the waiter was kinda busy so it took a few minutes to get my order. I asked for the seafood chowder, and the Spaghetti with Bison meat balls. The soup was amazing, full of chunky pieces of seafood, and vegetables. The spaghetti and meatballs were also very good. I had no room for desert after all that. It was very reasonable and very generous portions. I think you could bring the whole family and everyone would enjoy the food. I will be trying more of the menu while I am in town.

While staying at the Best Western in Grande Prairie, we decided to try the attached restaurant for supper. What a fantastic experience! The ambiance was lovely! Our food was cooked to perfection and reminded us of the two weeks we had recently spent in Italy!

If you want a quiet highish end restaurant. This is one of your only options. And it a good one.Excellent food. Excellent servers, and excellent atmoshpere.Everything I was wanting and recieved. It is a tad pricey, but not substantially more than some of thenither supposed, too tier" restaurants. Will be back."

Let me start this review off by saying that our expectations were already low for a restaurant connected to a Hotel, yet somehow we were still disappointed. We got the Lasagna (which everyone recommended) the Ribeye, and a Caesar salad. I've never had food taste so awful. Why would anyone think it was a good idea to add spinach to everything? All of the food had a metallic hot spinach taste, to include the bread. I've lived in Italy for years, and not once did I ever see Spinach anywhere near food. Hell, I've even been in combat and eaten numerous rations in war zones and I would take any one of those over any of the food this restaurant serves. We ended up taking the lasagna home in boxes thinking hunger would eventually drive us to eat it. Not the case. I got one whiff of the steak after a day of not eating, and decided it was best used as dog food, to which the dogs wouldn't even touch it. Save yourself some trouble if you're staying in the hotel and get a microwave meal from the front desk.P.S. The waitress was absolutely fantastic. Can't remember her name but she had black hair and what seemed like a matching Kendra Scott opal necklace and earring set. She was great to my wife and I and was the only redeeming quality about this place.

The worst Italian place I have ever been to even Olive Garden is better than this place, went here with my Dad hoping for a good time but our server read out the specials of which one was a chicken parmesan for $17 not only was the portion very small the bill came out to $38! The waiter said the $17 price was for an appetizer ( of which he did not specify ) but considering how small it may as well have been an appetizer. Drinks were comically over priced just like the food $9 for one small beer of their own brand is absurd even bottled beer were pricy at $ 7.50 and to top the cake the waiter brought the wrong kind of beer orderd ( we said Molson Canadian and got Coors light ) the bread that they gave was clearly left out for a long time because it was cold and very hard to eat we ended up not eating much of it and what we did eat was vile atleast we didn't have to pay for it. As for myself I got the Spaghetti con bisonte which is spaghetti with bison meatballs and it was horrible! Again the portion size was for a small child I could literally count how many strands of spaghetti I got ( 40 ) and the meatballs tasted rotten and were extremly chewy tasting nothing like Bison meat and of course it was $30 what a rip off and as said the bread that came with my meal was very hard and stale. For that same price not only could I have made better but I could of fed me, my Dad and grandma for 3 days we never will be back and I warn anyone and everyone to never come here.

We arrived less than an hour before closing and had prompt service. Our food was amazing (the lasagna was some of the best I’ve ever had). The restaurant is attached a hotel but has a more upscale intimate ambiance for a great date night. The only thing stopping this from being a five star review is the cocktails. We ordered to Blue Hawaiian and the Red Devil which both didn’t taste great. I would definitely return for the food but skip the cocktails next time.

Very nice and quiet Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and the scenery I could see was appealing.I had the veal dish with pasta and vegetables and a side of asparagus. The food was terrific, especially the veal! Probably the best veal I've ever experienced. The prices are also very reasonable for the outstanding quality. I'd much rather pay $30 on an exquisite dish here than $30 on a half decent burger at some other places...

Great food and great service at this hidden gem. It has been our favourite date night restaurant for many years! It's quiet and consistent, with nice, fresh ingredients. Our go-to choices are Scallopine Al Basilico, Filetto Di Manzo, and the Dessert Medley, with a bottle of St. Francis Merlot. Highly recommend Padrino's ♡

My great server brought three pieces of bread for dipping in balsamic vinegar and olive oil...super tasty...I ordered the Caesar salad: I had a half order but it was the size of some establishment's regular size - delicious. I ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce, also excellent...I haven't been here in a while but when I'm next in Grande Prairie, I'll eat there!
