They are Experienced, Professional, Prompt, Courteous, Knowledgeable and Always Friendly.We recently turned our lake cottage into our retirement home. We knew we wanted to put in a solar system with a backup generator. Our contractor wanted us to use his preferred Electrician. Unfortunately, we were $1,500 into the project before it became obvious that they didn't know how to put together what we wanted. I called Peninsula Solar and literally everything went smoothly after that. When anyone asks me about our system, I recommend Peninsula Solar. The install was discreet & on time. The system works as they said it would. During the day It provides all the energy we need, charges our battery for evening use and then the excess is sold to our electric company. When there is a power outage, we use our battery and if necessary, our generator automatically kicks on. Our entire system qualified for a 30% Tax refund & we were able to finance the remainder. Now we pay ourselves for renewable energy, instead of a paying a utility company for energy, 60% produced by burning coal. It's cheaper, more reliable and environmentally conservative & responsible.And I can monitor our system with the smart phone ap, even from the pool in Florida. Thanks Peninsula Solar. 5 Stars.

The installation process was a breeze, and their attention to detail was impressive. They made sure every component was securely in place and integrated perfectly with our existing electrical system. What blew me away was their commitment to precision— panels were angled and positioned for maximum sunlight exposure. Throughout the project, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and patient, addressing all our questions and explaining everything clearly. We are so happy with our solar system. Despite having several other jobs lined up, Peninsula Solar worked diligently and managed to get ours in before stopping for the season. They were friendly, efficient, and did a great job explaining the operation of the solar equipment. There was a minor glitch with hardware, and they fixed it almost immediately.

Peninsula Solar did a great job on my Sol-Ark 15k system and I am very pleased with the results. They took the time to work in an old set of solar shingles and make sure I could make the most of previous investments. Ben helped me a great deal and was very responsive to questions all through the process. The installation crew was also very professional and hard working. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail and extra work put in by Adrian/Colin to answer questions and make sure everything was operating correctly. I highly recommend you work with Peninsula Solar for your off grid or on grid project as they are the best!

From start to finish, the process with Peninsula Solar was seamless and professional. Ben's first contact was courteous, and we spent time locating our place on Google Maps together, so he could go over potential sites for the panels while we were together on the phone. Shortly after that (a couple of days, I think?), he had an estimate worked up and sent our way for approval, including more efficient German-made panels, which could handle the harsh conditions of the UP. We agreed and the process started.I was there for all but the very last installation process due to our locale. The prep work went smoothly, and only Superior's gale force winds prevented the installation of the panels and outside work that first visit. Before leaving though, the panel crew recommended some tree removal for better solar access, which was thoughtful without degrading the environment around the house. A nice touch. Since installation was later, Ben also recommended some new batteries and a higher threshold inverter (giving us more options to keep running, should the power go out) for the same price. We agreed, and the change was made.The gentlemen finished the panel installation upon another visit, and all was ready for the inside work. With the start of that process, the electrician noted that some work around the existing power panel would be needed to ensure that he was happy with the installation of the Peninsula power panel. His installation of the necessary wood frame was professional and fit well with the look of the existing wood work. The actual inverter installation and necessary box for the wiring was perfect. Connection to our existing box was seamless, and another was provided for the necessary solar connection. The only snafu was a damaged battery due to damage when shipped to Peninsula (unknown until the box was opened). Within a week the replacement was on hand and the pair returned to finish the work (I was back down south). Constant updates were sent my way of the project when we were not present.Before we left, the inverter protocol was gone over in detail, and I filmed the process to have it on hand. Upon return with our son, he and I were able to get the system hooked to the internet with some phone help from Ben. There was a step, which was not working, and Ben quickly came up with a work around to get us online.Since the final installation and inspection, we have been very happy with the results. While we are not there, and cannot keep the panels from becoming snow covered, occasionally we are still happy with the productivity. We did have a power outage, and due to a setting we had not changed, the batteries did drain, but in consultation with Ben, we quickly changed (you did) the settings to keep the batteries topped off. Since then, there have been many days were power is going to the house AND back to the grid, minimizing our need from Cloverland. Exactly what we could ask.When we are up there full time, we will make some changes to the inverter/battery functionality and consult Peninsula on those changes (to keep as efficient, since we will be able to monitor the system up close).We are very happy with Peninsula Solar from start to finish of the project and highly recommend the company for anyone looking into going solar.Thank you!

The two 20K systems that Peninsula Solar installed for me are working flawlessly. These guys were great and very professional. The installation looks clean and they even took the time to explain how everything works. Highly recommended!

Peninsula Solar installed a grid tied system with a battery and generator in 2020. The installation was at the beginning of the covid pandemic and the employees were very good at following health safety protocols. They aslo were flexible and always provided adequate notice when they wanted to do various aspects of the installation. All employees were very professional and the work was professionally done. They were very good at providing explainations and answering questions. There were very few glitches in the installation and the glitches were quickly remediated. They continue to provide support if needed. I am very satisfied with the installation and operation of the system. I highly recommend them for solar installations.John Gavre
