If you encounter any problem with their service, make sure you talk to the female representative. The male representative is useless, he could not even find our record with our company name and address, and he was very impatient told us to call back once we figure out the correct company name. The female lady there find our account easily with exactly the same company name and address when we call back again, and fixed the problem.

Very poor customer service.Sharon used to be my account manager and since she left, no one is serious about helping me with purchase.I sent them email and called but still no replyI am thinking of switching to some other supplier.

[Note: Ameta is the Canadian distributor for Dahua which was blacklisted in the USA in 2021 over security concerns.]My experience with Ameta is : I bought security cameras and a network video recorder (NVR) from Ameta in late 2017 through an installer. The equipment worked fine, but after some time I noticed the firmware on the NVR was out of date. I reached out to Ameta for a link to the firmware downloads and the correct firmware update sequence. Ameta insisted that they could only deal with my installer, not with me. Not nice, but whatever. I contacted my installer. They came over and found the upgrade given to them by Ameta in anticipation of their service call didn't work. They phoned Ameta. I listened in on the installer's speaker phone to this conversation:Ameta: That machine is too old We don't have the firmware upgrades."Installer: "We installed it five years ago."Ameta: "We don't have the upgrade."Installer: "What do I tell the customer?"Ameta: "Tell him to buy a new machine."What a waste of time."
