I stayed here last year. The place is super dated and didn't feel all that clean. Floor had layer of sand on it and we actually had to sweep it when we got there. Food was fine and Ken did the best he could as a one man show. Only reason I'm writing a review because the reviews I just read seem fake. This place is not very nice. No access or view to water. Kayaks not really accessible. Service is non existent. Rooms incredibly old and bedding is from the 80's. Wife refused to sleep with comforter on the bed. We had a mouse in our room and had to sleep with light on. Ken just acted like nothing and threw some traps down. It was fine. And wasn't going to complain or do bad review. But something fishy is going on with reviews here hahaha.

Stayed at the Adventure Lodge last weekend and had the most amazing time! My boyfriend and I brought our big dog with us and we all had so much fun!! Ken and Penny are amazing host's so welcoming, kind and helpful. Food was amazing and they were so flexible with times to eat and being able to bring your own alcohol to dinner was great. With the park pass included we spent everyday hiking and doing activities because everything is so close. The cabin was so cozy and cute, loved having the fireplace in it used it every night and even in the morning! Located in a beautiful, quite area with paths to walk on and there were places for my dog to swim which he loved. Definitely would and will recommend this place and will be booking again soon!

We had an amazing stay at Adventure Lodge. Hosts were great, food was delicious, cabins were perfect and we loved having a wood fireplace in the cabin. Was also fun to go out to the bonfire in the evenings to hang out with other guests. We were looking for a relaxing week away and we were really happy with our choice. Trails were a close drive away and amazing kayaking spots on many of the lakes in Algonquin park. Thanks so much for the great week. We will definitely be back again!

Cannot say enough positive things about Adventure Lodge. My husband and I would definitely shout out five star plus recommendation to Ken and Penny!! We were greeted with warmth and the upmost hospitality and kindness. The cabins are so comfortable and clean. The sounds of the nearby river rapids are so soothing. We enjoyed a tranquil paddle along the lake whereby canoes and kayaks are supplied. Bring your bike to enjoy the trails. The surroundings are lovely. Every meal was filled with gustatory delights prepared by the best host Ken. Thanks for everything and we look forward to our return. Natasha and Mike : )

This place is a hidden gem and the views are absolutely incredible!! We took out their canoe on the river and had a great time… It’s so beautiful on the water. The room itself was very clean, with a nice jacuzzi and wood fireplace. And the best part of the experience was our host, Ken, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The rate is very reasonable, especially since all meals are included and Ken is a brilliant chef. 10/10 highly recommend.

I stayed here (Grenada cabin) 1 month ago and it was awful, mostly because it was filthy which is unbelievable as with covid, one would expect over clean rather than under clean. Main issues, at least a 2 week layer of dust over everything, toilet was dirty and was not flushed, bathroom door had no door knob and didn't stay closed, couch was covered in dog hair (more than one dog), bed sheets seemed clean however had grains of sand in them probably from whoever made it. My wife slept in blankets we had in the truck rather than the bed sheets. We are longtime campers and don't expect spotless however after 2 weeks of camping our trailer would still be cleaner than this cabin was. Food was okay but nothing to rave about considering what we paid. I accidently dropped some food on the floor the first night we dined there (in the lodge) and it was still there when we left three mornings later. We will never stay here again and neither should you.

We had a wonderful stay at Adventure Lodge. Everything was exactly as advertised. We stayed in the Virgin Islands cabin. The cabin was rustic, and included a very comfortable king size bed and a jacuzzi tub. The cabin was clean with high quality bedding and towels. Meals were excellent, with 3 choices for both breakfast and dinner. We really enjoyed the room service option, allowing us to eat our meals outside at our cabin. Our host Ken was friendly and kind, and the service was excellent.

Went for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. Steps away from the picturesque river, cosy cottage, great food and excellent room service. On the down side, the cabin wasn't very clean, the couch was gross, we had to put a blanket over it to sit on it. But they're cabins after all. Otherwise everything was as advertised and we're planning to go again in the winter. The owners were very friendly and attentive.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Adventure Lodge to celebrate his birthday at the end of June. I had read all the reviews and so I was hesitant to get my hopes up too high for a remarkable weekend given some negative reviews but I’m happy to say I was thrilled. It was exactly the weekend I was hoping for. I had brought all my own bedding and towels in case they were needed but the cabin had beautiful white linens that appeared new or barely used. The fireplace gave the cabin a very romantic feel. Lots of wood was provided and had covered storage on the porch so the large amount of rain wasn’t an issue. The jacuzzi was clean and worked well. It was nice to arrive late and have dinner ready and delivered to us shortly after arrival. The portions were huge! Was never able to make it to our dessert but thankfully the dessert came in a compostable to go container so I ended up eating them on our way home. Breakfast was also amazing. The included meals really did make our stay there a great value and it was convenient not to have to worry too much about meal planning. We had an early canoe trip planned so Ken offered to make our breakfast outside the normal hours without us asking. He was friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. The only thing I wish I had brought were slippers. You have to walk to the cabins on a dirt path and it felt impossible not to get some of the path on the floors. As other reviews mention the views from the cabin are not lake front and the grounds aren’t well manicured and that is accurate. The unmanicured grounds are by design and it does give a more authentic nature experience even though we cheated a bit by not tenting but we don’t regret that choice lol. Also you are a two minute walk from the most scenic gorgeous semi private lake that we felt was there just for us. Not a single soul was there and it was great fishing. Next trip.. and there will be a next trip before the end of the summer because we feel in love with this place we won’t even venture into Algonquin. This place is the best kept treasure. Side note: Ken had mentioned that the dinning room would be opening back up soon, I’m assuming as we enter stage two of COVID restrictions but if the option is still there I recommend getting your breakfast delivered. I’m not sure I’ve ever had breakfast in bed before but it was the best!

The place could be awesome, we still enjoyed our stay but the place really needed a good cleaning especially a good wipe down of everything, the dust is pretty caked on. Now it is a cabin so you do expect some dirt. The rooms themselves are great with a wood fireplace and king bed which was comfortable. The meals that were included were tasty especially the fish. The manager was nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is great, right on the snowmobile trails and we enjoyed the fires at night.
