Elgin Military Museum
I realize with covid that hours have been minimized for many non essential places, but to not update your website AND be unreachable by phone us unacceptable. I got my father from Elgin Manor today(Fri) to take him to visit here after I checked on line it was open tues to Fri 1 pm to 5 pm. No one in the parking lot, and a sign shared ring bell for screened entry.....after ringing several times, and checking the times posted, there was a small sign stating Open Sat 1 to 4! When I tried to call the number provided on line to confirm.....the voice box was full. This may be a great museum, but there advertising and on line presence sucks

Elgin Military Museum
Very interesting place. I’ve lived in St.Thomas my whole life and I never knew it existed until the other day. Decided to check it out and was not disappointed. Rob was a great guide who showed us around and knew everything about everything. Overall a great experience, will definitely be back.

If you live in or around Elgin county or just passing through, this is a must visit!!Perfect destination for a day trip with the family.Warm inviting and knowledgeable staff. Great to visit around remembrance day.

Elgin Military Museum
The Elgin Military Museum is an easy museum to miss as it is tucked away, but it is well worth the visit. The number of artifacts is astonishing for a city that of St. Thomas’s size. The museum also has an extensive archive of military records which the public can view.

We highly recommend this museum. Our two boys 6 and 8 loved the museum. They were thrilled to look at the model tanks and lifesized APC 's. They also enjoyed playing pretend, by try on some uniforms and prentending to send morse code in the mock submarine.

Great hidden gem wether you are visiting or a local. Watch the hours but also don't be afraid to knock to see if anyone is in. Volunteers have a wealth of knowledge and passion for the history of the region and the military contributions of its residents.

Very unique Gem here in St.Thomas. Only open 10-4 on Saturday, and because of the contents of the museum, you have to buzz to be let in. Go check it out!

Rob was a very knowledgeable guide and had lots of local anecdotes. Not a large museum but bigger than it looks. Worth a visit (especially if you're from Elgin County). They can definitely use your support.

great little museum with more than you would think inside. a well stocked set of real ( inoperable) guns from both sides of the wars. models of boats and pieces from planes and submarines. nice remake of a trench and a nuclear bunker. medal room has many medals from many soldiers and not far from the Jumbo statue or the train bridge park .
