First time at this locally owned restaurant. Loved the deep fried dill pickles. Monday to Friday - they choose one appetizer a day that is 50% off during happy hour til 7pm - its a nice way to sample different appetizers. We had the RnR Chicken deluxe sandwich and beer battered pickerel with some great sides - steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and fries. The gravy was a little salty. Coleslaw could use a little more cream or zing - the flavour was bland. Chicken sandwich was very good - a side of honey dill was included - it was nice. The pickerel with fresh lemon and tartar sauce was excellent. Broccoli was steamed perfectly and the mashed potatoes were creamy. We enjoyed our meal and will go again. Thanks very much

Even though they were short staffed service was very quick and the staff never appeared to be rattled. They took the time for a quick chat. The food is very good. I ordered the Breakfast Scramble it is was plenty for me.

The food is ALWAYS wonderful and hot. You can just tell it's fresh, compared to Perkins. The prices are also very reasonable. I wish we could dine out more because it's our favorite place to go! Nicole is also wonderful, with just and explosive personality. Best chicken fingers in the city, honestly.

It took them a while to get a server over to get us going because the hostess never told the server who was busy that she got another table. Then a awesome different server took initiative to just serve us. She was great and even split up the one order we were sharing, which was the honey dill chicken sandwich. Who doesn’t like honey dill on a sandwich? Good job to the server who looked after us! :)

This restaurant has decent parking and is easy to enter and leave the lot. There is a lot of seating, both with tables and booths.Wednesday has deep fried pickles on at half price 3-7. The pickles arrived hot and quickly and tasted great.Wednesday also had buy one entrée and get one free. We had the RnR chicken burger which was good. The seasoned fries had a bit too much salt. The beer battered pickerel was quite large and broccoli was cooked just right. The service was excellent and super friendly.Definitely worth trying out.The desserts looked tasty but didn't have any room left.

My husband and I had supper at the Portage Avenue location today and were not impressed by the food. The service was great! But my turkey dinner was barely warm, and the turkey was dry. My husband had the Pit Master burger, and found it bland with a lot of bun with very little meat and taste. The poutine wasn't bad, but it wasn't traditional poutine gravy. Highly unlikely we will ever return.

Used to be Perkins but the new ownership has definitely kept up with the quality and service expected from the former chain. I had a 3 egg omelette (farmers) and it was excellent. The bottomless coffee is Ethiopian from a coffee producer in Niverville, very rich and unique flavour. Service was decent, no wait time for seating and the servers are friendly and fast. Definitely will be back again.

I had a wonderful turkey dinner the other night from RnR. So good, that I phoned in today, Sunday to place an order for pick up tomorrow by a friend. I am handicapped and in a wheelchair and it can be difficult to get out. I was abruptly told no, that they wouldn’t take the order and that I would have to call back tomorrow. I asked why and she told me it would screw up their system. We are soon flying humans to mars, but rnr restaurant cannot take an order the day before!! The person on the end of the line did not seem to care whatsoever. A it is what it is attitude. NOT impressed. I will see if I’m still in the mood to order tomorrow or not.

We like to support the locals but we also would like to give a honest review for improvement. Food is average, a bit pricey for quantity and quality. It took a while to get our orders out when the restaurant was not even busy. The staff is friendly but the quality of food needs improvement in taste. The spaghetti tasted bland. The kids meal portion is for toddler size not kids. We were too hungry to care and end just ate what was there. Might visit again but not anytime soon. A bit disappointed, we did choose it for a mother's meal.
