It's a wonderful space to be able to learn different species of creation. The Blue whale documentary almost sounded like a movie.I had an amazing experience there, I would love to go back at some point.

The over all expierence was pleasant, the hyperactive 5 year old enjoyed the scavenger hunt sheets and few interactive features they had available and it was fun to walk around and look at everything. I purchased a Groupon and for the price it was a fun little addition to the day but definitely not a main event.

Great museum to spend an afternoon at. It will probably take roughly 2 hours to view in its entirety, but depends on how long you want to spend in each section. Has awesome displays ranging from full skeletons & fossils to taxidermy animals.

Amazing & overwhelming, the Museum presents biodiversity that reflects the evolutionary approach of all entities -all living beings - with amazing skeleton of big blue whale, the skeleton of which was found in Eastern Atlantic ocean where the whale are thought to be dead in an accident with a ship. It's also highlighted that DNA of trees are also similar to that of human & animal beings, how evolutionary process proceeded through millions of years in earth. Hence there may be a close relationship at the origin of life. It's really contributory to knowledge & finding out the mystery of evolution.

There’s a free guide but we missed. Ask them if you need. Btw, the museum was one of the best in Vancouver. Worth spending your time. Check Animals that look like still alive for tons. Great experience!

this was such a fantastic museum to visit! The space is organized very well and I was overwhelmed with the amount of specimens that have been collected all in one place. I would spend hours upon hours there reading about the items and their history. The added bonus was the discovery area at the back of the rows where you have an opportunity to touch some specimens. The student staff there were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us learn much more about the items that were stored there. I would definitely recommend a visit here and for $18 as admission it's well worth it.

Super informative museum that's located on the campus of UBC. The museum has many cool taxidermy displays of sea creatures, land animals and plants across the world. When you first walk in, you can see the skeleton of the blue whale hanging from the ceiling. The blue whale seems to be the pride of the museum since some of first things you see in the museum are the body parts of the blue whale and the specific anatomy that has helped them survive in the wild. There's also free showings of how UBC obtained the blue whale skeleton and successfully put it on display. Majority of the museum is very reading intense, it's a lot of visual learning with the taxidermy being placed next to detailed plaque. There is a museum staff that provides background information on the museum and plays a mushroom guessing game with visitors.
