Nicely groomed tracks and friendly staff. The classic cross country skis that I rented had a good grip, but they felt a bit flat. Not much bounce in them.

Excellent place to do some cross country skiing. Trails are excellently managed and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great inexpensive day out. Thank you.

Great spot for cross country skiing. Pay 9$ as an adult for a day pass. I think if you were to ski all the trails it would be about 15km. There are a few decent sized hills, but nothing crazy, and you can easily avoid them if you want. Tracks were groomed well.

Have always loved xc skiing here in the winter as the trails are well maintained. First time coming in the summer- trails are grassy and peaceful walks through the forest. Kids LOVED the summer nature camps.

Amazing place to Cross Country Ski. There is a Charge to ski there but the Trails are very well Mantained but you can get a Season pass for or a half Season pass that is not bad of a price. The Grooming at Cooking Lake or Blackfoot is rare and sometimes hard to Ski there after a snowfall . The grooming as this place after a snowfall here is usually very good. The Senery is Beatuiful here. For Beginners there is the Wagon Owl or Fox loops but trails for all levels. Just be aware the gate closes at 430 but in Summer it could be open a little longer. But this place is very special.

Had a great walk around their well groomed trails. Saw moose, deer and elk tracks in the soft dirt but didn't see any animals. We took the owl loop until it met up with the wagon loop them followed that around. There are some benches along the way if you need a break. Make sure to take the short trail to the tree icon shown right in the middle of the trail map for a beautiful enclave.

I went cross country skiing here recently and I loved it. The trails are well maintained and the setting is gorgeous. It's only 25 minutes out of the city so a great way to get a bit of nature in a peaceful and serene setting. There is a small fee to ski and use the trails but I think it's worth it for how well maintained they are. The lodge is cozy and comfortable. They also have a large selection of ski waxes for sale which I can see coming in handy as I have a limited few. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of the trails.

Very easy trails, big open areas, and lots of tables. Nowhere near as busy as Elk Island. Great for families with little kids, as the short non-technical trails will let them have fun. This isn't the place to go for a long challenging hike, but that's not what this park is going for.The only big downfall is that they close at 4:30 every day, including weekends. You can stay longer, but if you do, park at the entrance outside the front gates. Otherwise, your vehicle might get locked in.Edited on April 21, 2022: Trails are open for walking. Most trails are still usable by XC skiiers, so I'd walk on the sides where others had walked. The snow is slushy; hills can be slippery in the slush, but they aren't icy. Definitely not ready for trail running yet, but it's good for a snowy hike.
