I honestly dont understand what Canada has to offer a this point besides maybe fresh air but even thats coming into question with all the wildfire smoke.Restaurants are all overflowing with shadow labor from cheap foreign workers yet they cant add a few more doctors to see an overflow flow of patients. They waste way too much time in administration, first someone will ask for card then another lady will call you to another room then another lady will come with a notepad and ask you questions about medical history then another 10 hour wait to see a useless doctor who just tells you to go home.People, leave this useless country, seriously. They have much better doctors and care and treatment in so called “ 3rd world countries” than this pile of garbage country. I am finally going to Thailand for my son’s surgery where the standard of care is much higher, no waste of time and fee for private care is still much lower than Canada's “free” healthcare.People are fed up. Then they warn us not to go to mexico or Philippines to get medical surgeries because they are “ risky”. Whatever, ive taken far too much risk with rude and stuck up Canadian healthcare workers. I rather go half way around the world to see a doctor than be lectured about our wonderful free healthcare.

I had a total hip replacement approximately one week ago. My experience with the staff members from admin to post op was exceptional. Everyone seemed caring, professional, prepared, and genuinely interested in my well being. They communicated very well and explained everything in detail. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you.

I am disgusted at how my 15 yr old granddaughter was treated at this hospital. My granddaughter spent the night at a friends when her throat was sore, felt like it was closing up and had difficulty swallowing and breathing. She had red marks on her body. The 1st nurse was sweet and compassionate. The triage nurse was rude, unprofessional and lucky I wasn’t the one who accompanied her. She told her she wasn’t a priority and at 15 she’s sure she had better things to do than wait around in the hospital waiting room. I called her doctor, this morning and they were shocked at how she was treated and being booked for the next 4 weeks are able to get her in today for a check up because they felt she needed medical attention right away! The nurse’s total disregard for her safety is DISGUSTING!!!

Worst ER in the world. Waited over 9 hours to try to see a Doctor about my wife's blood clot in her leg. Ended up leaving and going to our GP. Do not go to this hospital if you expect to be seen in a timely manner. The amount of people that came in and left due to the excessive waiting time was unbelievable. Should have spent more money on Doctors and Nurses rather than the new ER. This place needs an inquiry to find out about the lack of care for patients.

my sister was here with her son on Sunday night. It was a total nightmare. She arrived at 7:45pm and was only seen by a doctor at 6:00am in the morning. I really feel bad for the under staffed nurses who are working doubles. 1 doctor on shift is NOT OKAY. What was the point of the renovations to add more beds" if the treatment remains the same. I really hope something changes. We shouldn't have to leave our city to get urgent care. It should be prioritized better. Seems like some management change over should really be considered."

I went to emergency last evening for a bad scald/burn and was treated very well. The triage nurse was so compassionate and the Dr and nurse who treated me were wonderful. Yes, I had to wait 5 hours plus to be treated but it was well worth the wait. Thank you everyone involved.

I checked into the emergency this morning at 10am. I was in pain and needed to see a doctor. From the minute I walked in until I left just after 3pm I was treated very well. There were a lot of people waiting but all the staff were very helpful and caring

Took an ambulance to the hospital, there in about 8 minutes. Got blood drawn and stuff then waited in the main waiting room for about an hour. Moved to a private room and waited 6 hours for a doctor to see me. Moved to a secondary waiting room waited 30 min for an ultrasound to be done then waiting another hour for the doctor to tell me what's wrong. In total, 9 hours for the doctor to tell me that he doesn't know what's wrong. He prescribed some medication and sent me on my way. I'm in constant, consistent, considerable pain. It hurts to stand, sit, lay, walk and breath but apparently I'm fine to this doctor. Now I'm bed ridden in my own bed in pain. If I try to get up it feels like my body is being torn apart. A walk to me kitchen would normally take about 7 seconds but now about 10 minutes painfully trying to make my way there.

I was born in this hospital and I gave birth to my son in this hospital and many visits over the years. I've always considered it an amazing hospital in the emergency room with compassionate staff until last night. I brought my daughter to the emergency room at 9:30 p.m. and the wait sign said approximately an 5.5 hour wait time. After about 10 hours I had to leave briefly so I went to what I believe to be the nurses station and informed them of the 10 hours and let them know I had to leave. I told them my daughter was sleeping and I didn't want to wake her as she was very sick and in a lot of pain and could someone please let her know that if she woke up I would be right back. Their first question was well how old is your daughter?" And I responded 30. Then they asked "well doesn't she have a cellphone?" My response was wow this hospital sure has changed. Do they not realize it is an emergency room with sick people? Noone came in her room once to check on her or her vitals etc. I am shocked at the coldness of the staff. There was only 1 doctor for 30 patients all sleeping contorted in their chairs. The beds are stretchers with a pee pad no blanket and no pillow. The only reason I didn't give them only 1 star is that when the doctor came in he was phenomenal. I wish I remembered his name. He dealt with her illness very thoroughly. I forgot to mention that my daughter has a very high pain tolerance and she actually cried in pain last night. She asked one of the staff for a warm compress for the pain in her face and he basically told her she didn't need it. Absolutely disgusting. I would also like to mention the 3 security guards walked out a homeless patient because he was very loud in begging for help. They kicked him out in the cold and he probably needed stitches. I never dreamed this hospital would turn out like this. My daughter even said the female security guard mocked the situation. I'm very disappointed in this whole thing on Mother's day of all days."
