Leah S. at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to help me with my crying baby. Thank you, Leah, for your kindness! It made all the difference today. We have always been well taken care of by the staff at Carea - Ajax, including Jennifer and Dr. Bisessar. Thank you, Carea!

I’ve been coming here since I was 15(the first time I’ve ever made an appointment and seen a doctor by myself) 11 years later and I am a client. I’ve been to other offices since I’ve moved away from Durham .. but always come back. My primary doctor was Jess J.. but after she permanently switched offices (where i wasn’t able to see her due to the position she switched too) dr biessar became my permanent physician.. between them I’ve seen a few others that worked here but couldn’t connect with them the way I did with the ones I’ve named. I’ve never had a problem with the receptionist, but if you’re calling and detailing your problems and why u want to see the doctor.. iys understanding why they’re short and try to cut the conversation since it is CONFIDENTIAL and only the doctors concerns. I used to travel from Niagara .. I now live in Toronto and still travel here. No other clinic I’ve been too has made me feel comfortable and non judgmental like they do. Also the receptionist peope are complaining about .. I know exactly who it is and it’s just the tone of her voice ! She’s really nice. I didn’t put 5star since my doctor is always busy!!!

From when I needed counselling in high school (thank you Ellen) to finding a new health practitioner when my Dr. retired (Marcella, you’re a gem), Carea has been there for me and my family for over 10 years. You’re in capable hands here.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bisessar’s (Ajax location) since she started at Carea and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her receptionist, Jennifer the entire time. My health requires regular visits/calls with Jennifer in office/phone and she is truly wonderful! Jenn is kind and caring- while being extremely hardworking, dedicated and knowledgeable. Jen is always quick to return a phone call and/or follow up my questions with a response from Dr. B. Jen is welcoming, pleasant and she always puts a smile on my face (even on the darkest days). She is great with my kids and they enjoy chatting with her as well(12yrs and 7yrs). Thanks for always making our days a little brighter.

I wanted to leave a review more appropriate to my experiences here.Security Is top notch. ☆☆☆☆☆Receptionist. ☆_ _ _ _actual help. _ _ _ _ _ _Mental healthsupport ☆_ _ _ __Empathy _ _ _ _ _ _Bullying received ☆☆ _ _ _Feeling unwanted ☆☆☆☆☆Disability support ☆☆ _ _ _Malicious employee ☆☆☆☆☆Referrals sent out ☆☆☆_ _ _Knowledge of my health ☆ _ _ _ _Being treated unfairly ☆☆☆☆_* if you say to the doctor you feel like the doctor knows nothing about you. after offering ECT for the third time after stating my feelings on that. * will likely end up with a chap·er·one for no actual good reason. The doctor takes offense easily and there's zero empathy *The receptionist caused drama. And got the manager to harrass me over nothing. Less then 24 hours before an appointment when i mentioned to the receptionist I wasn't going to bring in a service dog untill a month from now nearly a week before appointment. But the receptionist was to busy causing drama and bullyingThey are quick to shoo you away ☆☆☆☆Feeling uncomfortable while there ☆☆☆☆☆I had expressed to the doctor before leaving someone inappropriatly touched me. While stating the reasons for a chap·er·one were misused by the doctor.Instead of working with me about the dog issue. I was told * No * even when I said I would have her in a month later with documentation. Manager didn't wanna schedule compromise with me and told me some is aleric.Honestly there is nothing good to say about the doctor here that I had. How can someone like herself punish her own patient during a stressed, grief life. For saying I feel like you know nothing about me.How can the receptionist make false claims against me. When each phone call is under 2mins and on average 1 min. I have phone records. You are all mean here and are lucky I didnt request a 3rd party to Investigate your behavior towards me your patient. I don't even step on snails or bugs. And you all bug me more than bugs.

The receptionists need to be replaced. As you can tell from the other reviews I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've seen a receptionist misgender someone and not apologize. They act as if you're annoying them and never admit when they're wrong. BUT the doctor's and nurses are great.

When I called to see if I could get support, the receptionist hung up on me while I was talking. She seemed very annoyed as well.

Horrible. I wish I could give zero stars if possible. I’ve been waiting three months for an in take call and when I call them, they say the counsellor wasn’t in and that they gave me a call. When I asked them to repeat my number, they had a wrong number on file. The receptionist then proceeded to say that they’re not even taking people at this time and that I have missed calling in eight times, when I’ve called them three times at most. Then she proceeds to say that she has to talk to the counsellor about whether or not they can take me on as a patient and that wait will be for another few months again. If you’re treating youth with mental health problems, it’s important to be patient and welcoming. Not make them feel like they’re shut out and have no where to go. Please don’t send your child here.

Doctors are very nice however the Receptionist was incredibly rude and kept interrupting me when I was calling about a concern and to book an appointment with my doctor. This place would do a lot better with nicer receptionists who actually look like they don’t hate their lives and people as I’m not the only one who has had a complaint about this. Sucks to know after all these complaints about the same receptionist it is still clearly not being taken seriously by the management here. Please do better considering you also have programs with at risk youth who definitely deserve to be treated better

My girlfriend (who is suffering an allergic reaction) called here and they just told her she needs to go to a walk in clinic, and then hung up on her when she tried to ask them a question.
