I typically don’t write reviews of any sort but the bathroom mirror this morning reminded me once again of that disastrous experience. I know it’s not life and death, but if this review can save even one of you out there, it will be worth it.I went to this place due to Covid, since my hairdresser is in Burlington and her place is always busy.The owner is arrogant and a bully. The assistants are nice people but they work for a bully. I was asked the most bizarre questions: Have you used box color in the last 3 years? and further advised to Not lie because the answer was important. I am 41 years old and have been coloring my hair for over 20 years in 6 different European countries that include Greece and Italy. I have never had this question asked of me.So I asked for my one color , a brown as light as possible, so I can be done fast. Due to Covid, my hair is obviously not in great shape. I made sure to say: Don’t worry about the result, I just want one color applied.20 min later I noticed the color they are putting on is bleach. This is not what I asked, I complained. The nice assistant offered to stop. But at this point my hair is half bleached. The owner came over and her answer was: We could not do the light brown. Fine that’s understandable. But why did you bleach my hair?If we had told you the procedure, you would have left. This is what she said. Apparently, the answer to the problem was to be deceiving and bleach my hair without my consent. Later in that appointment, she mentioned to the assistant that it would be best to remove mirrors after bleaching hair, because the experience is traumatizing. She maybe thinks she is a doctor of sorts. So I guess the implication was that I complained because I could not withstands the trauma. Or maybe because it was not want I asked of them.And then the cherries on the cake: The assistant simply did not know how to cut or style hair, the result of the final color was green, the bill was 240 dollars and I also left a tip of 20 dollars because the assistant worked her butt off. Also my hair is simply destroyed from the bleaching.PS they call bleaching Decoloring hair at the Hello Gorgeous hair salon. The owner stormed away as she got annoyed with me for being unhappy and using this specific term. So I am sure that they will object to my terminology. But the first reaction of my hairdresser in Burlington was: They bleached your hair?

Best salon I've ever been to. Brenda and her team are amazing, they are always learning new techniques. Every time I go into the salon I'm treated like a valued customer, I never feel like they are rushing me out the door, I don't get told off if I've used a box dye on my hair and fried it a few months back and I know I can literally walk in and tell the ladies to do what ever they think will look good and I will walk out with amazing hair! I usually don’t leave reviews but have never been more happy with how my hair turned out after seeing Amanda for colouring yesterday! After experimenting with a few colours/styles/stylists for years, I finally am so happy with how my hair turned out (no orange!). She is also one of the only people who actually cuts my hair how I want it and does a great job as I have had gotten choppy layered haircuts in the past by other stylists in the past. Thanks so much Amanda I love my new hair:)

I have been going to Hello Gorgeous for almost 10 years and I have NEVER had anything but the best results. Brenda is an expert colourist, often encouraging you to switch it up and try something new with stunning and dramatic results that you won't regret. If your favourite stylist isn't available, fear not! ALL of the stylists are fantastic so never worry about someone else doing your hair. Brenda and her staff are second to none! And the warmth and ambiance of the salon immediately put you at ease.....a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Highly, highly recommend.

Today I went in and met my New Stylist Angela .. Same name as me must be meant to be... And it sure was. Angela was like meeting up with an old friend who has done my hair forever. She listened to what i wanted while i sipped my coffee then gave me the best shampoo Ever! As she cut away i was at complete ease. Angela is very knowledgeable in all areas of her profession. Although I only had a wash and cut and blow dry style i will return to her for my Color when ready. . I will highly recommend anyone who asks where is a great place to go with an awesome stylist. She is classified as a junior stylist... Should be a Senior Stylist. :)

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Great haircut by the owner. I had it previously done elsewhere, an inverted bob which is a piece of art to make look sleek and Brenda corrected it and delivered! They also did some fun colouring and I got loads of compliments! Thanks team.

I love Hello Gorgeous. Everyone is always so kind. They offer you a beverage at every visit. Their customer service is amazing and I love my hairstyle every time I leave. I have had Amanda and Kelly and they both are amazing with colour and style. Always recommend Hello Gorgeous when people ask where I got my hair done.
