Black Girl Collective
Black Girl Brunch was very enjoyable event, well organised and very entertaining. Only negatives were, that the DJ could have played a wider variety of music such as soca/calypso/ reggae and there wasn’t enough dessert, I received no dessert which should I should have received as a part of 3 course meal. Although tables were well replenished with drinks which was pleasing.However overall experience was a great one. Looking forward to the next one when I visit Vancouver

These women have created a beautiful and safe space to just be. I love everything that the group stands for and enjoy being part of the book club. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a community to speak your truth and share your stories.

I've been in Vancouver 4 years and I've been a bit of a hermit. BGC community is helping me get me out of my shell and meet people. The latest Sports Day event with Van Suya was a hit. That was my first time ever, in Vancouver, in the midst of so many amazing black people. It was a great feeling! Can't wait for more activities and events.

I moved to Vancouver right before the pandemic and was nervous about finding a space to meet other Black women. I am so glad I found this organization. I have attended a few virtual and socially distanced outdoor events, and even participate in the monthly book club. Highly recommend if you are in the Metro Vancouver area.
