Spanish Banks Off Leash Dog Area

Lots of fun for the doggos. Open ocean. Sand ball throwing. Friendly dog owners. Great space to enjoy the fresh sea air.

I'd say it's the best place for your dog to run free, and have fun to play with some water. I see many happy dogs chasing around. Also, It's a beautiful sight of seeing mountains and downtown landscape of Vancouver at the beach. There are benches, tables, and parking lots. Well maintained environment.

I've been coming to this site since the 80s.This is a great area to come to, especially at low tide, you can then walk on the excposed sandy sea bottom parallel to the shoreline for many kilometers.The walking paths are being upgraded to also accommatade bicycles.Lots of green grass to have your picnic or other activities.Often, people gather with drums of all kinds and drum together.Finding a free parking spot is a problem at peek times!Amenities are far away at Yerico Beach , not a broblem on a sunny day.Dogs are so happy running and swimming off leash. They really are having a great time.I look forward to next time. Hopefully, they have finished the upgrades to the area by then.

Parking was non existent, but we were persistent and eventually got a spot way up the road. The beach itself is a great spot for dogs...my dog had so much fun running into the water. We will definitely go back on a weekday rather than a weekend...hopefully parking won't be so bad.

a big dog park with lots of variety; has a large grassy area for more independent dogs to play ball with their owners, and a gravel path that leads to the beach for more social dogs. it can be busy depending on when you go, but it’s so big that finding space is not too much trouble (save for weekends in the summer - the parking lot can be full by noon on a nice day). the most magical part of this park is the super low tide in the summertime - a combination of sandbars and tide pools extend out from the shore, creating a lot more space for dogs to run and play.

Great place to access the Spanish banks, big plus is there are dogs and puppies here.Plenty of space to set up to relax before you go down to the water!Would recommend. Seems like a good space for a family event or bbq too - or to hop in the ocean to cool down.

Great waterfront location with spectacular views of the North Shore Mountains, sunsets, and the Vancouver skyline. Plenty of benches and tables for all. Beach area for dogs adds a extra fun spot for off-leash play. A special park for our family and we often visit the memorial table dedicated to my folks. Enjoy!

Love, love, love it! But pretty sure my furry four-legged buddy loves it even more! (Be sure that you end up at the Off Leash Beach though, as Google first took me to the part of Spanish Beach with Volleyball nets, etc, that prohibits dogs!). What a great place to allow both dog and owner to enjoy the beauty of nature, surrounded by beach, ocean and very large grassy areas. Wish I would have found this place sooner! If you have a dog with some energy to burn and would like a visit with some really great people yourself, I highly recommend heading to Spanish Banks Off Leash Park:)

Great spot located at the beach on the far west end of Spanish banks. Plenty of parking when we were there in April but I can imagine it’s not enough in the summer. Also a decent size beach for your pup to roam around off leash. I wish there were more dog friendly spots in vancouver.

Good place specifically for the dogs. They will have a lot of fun and they will get super wet in the beach area. If you come early you can get a picnic table and have a nice day with your furry friend. I don't recommend coming on a cloudy day since it's too windy.
