This was a very nice place to stay. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful with literally everything. We’ve seriously enjoyed our week stay here. Thank you very much.Other drivers: please stick to the 15 km/h. It makes a difference…

Really beautiful Provincial park. Nice hiking trails but short ones. We tried the Woodland Loop which was already a small one, 850m but, it was not maintained (confirmed by a ranger right after). Lots of serviced sites have ocean views and others are tucked into the woods, that is a really great feature from this park as most RV serviced spots are almost like a Walmart parking lot. Park could have more washrooms with showers (only one for 56 spots is nothing). Overall well cleaned thou. And people just don't seem to understand actual situation, we locked the door to have a shower to guarantee one household at a time" rule (as advertised by our health minister and several rangers) and someone insisted to get in - too bad

Spent two nights recently - both, including a Friday night, were quiet. Bathrooms clean and the park tidy. Sites are huge! Staff are super friendly. Thanks for the beautiful, relaxing stay!

Camped at this park for 2 nights. We were at site 3. It was AMAZING! Had an excellent view of the ocean, nice sheltered area for the tent. Only two things to consider if you pick this site: not a lot of shade during the day so bring something to sit under, and there were quite a bit of nippy ants, so wear socks! The park itself is absolutely gorgeous. The beach area is calm and clean. There is a rocky beach closer to the campsites that is really lovely to walk along. The entire park is well maintained, with the cleanest outhouses I've ever seen. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. Will definitely return!!

Battery Provincial Park
Beautiful site, staff are very friendly. Site #1, #2, and #3 are our favourites although the only downside is there seems to be a pretty bad infestation of fire ants around these sites but they didn't seems to bother us too much. This site has trails to enjoy, access to the beach and a small lighthouse. Washrooms and showers were clean and the site in general was well maintained. Good size bundles of firewood. We spent 3 nights at site #1 and really enjoyed this park. Site #3 has an amazing view. Would stay here again.

Battery Provincial Park
This was a nice hike. The hike up to the summit is very steep and is about 10 minutes of hiking up a perhaps 45-60 degree grade. The view from the peak was disappointing because pine trees have grown up obstructing the view of the harbor. I started with the Fort Dorchester trail then made my way down to do the Cavanagh trail which connects to the Fort Toulousse trail. On the two latter trails, long stretches of long, boggy grass soaked my feet. Wearing waterproof shoes or boots would be helpful. The view out to the water from the Cavanagh trail was a highlight for me. There is a bench to sit, rest, and take the view in.

Some beautiful sites. The upper portion had the comfort station and showers. Rained most of the time so didn't get to explore too much. Few minutes to grocery store (a bit pricey) and gas as well as a pharmacy and a Tim's!

Beautifully kept campground with very clean showers and restrooms at the top of the hill. Restrooms for the rest of the park has well maintained outhouses. We took a tent spot at with a great view of the ocean and had a blast! Folks who work there were very nice and lent us a deck of cards for the night. Right next to a cute little town with lots of food options.

The staff was fantastic and really made us feel welcome! The park had many tent sites available and he suggested site 42 as having a lovely view, but warned us of the gravelled incline as we were on motorcycles. The site was grassed over and generous enough for us to pitch our two backpacking tents comfortably.Drainage may be an issue for site 42 as they had taken pains to elevate a flat spot and provide a wee drainage ditch around it, so I would be mindful of that while pitching the tent.Caroline thought the showers were clean as did I.
