I recently visited the House of Hifi in Burlington and had the pleasure to speak with the owner, Grant. Grant is personable, highly knowledgeable and a real audiophile.As he agreed to meet me after hours, (I live in Northern Ontario, now, so scheduling is a nightmare when I am back in town), I also found out he is a great business man in the old fashioned sense. Honest, hardworking and willing to accommodate.As a musician, I have a pretty good idea as to how each instrument on an album should sound. I'm not easily led down the path by the latest and greatest" in audio technology or purist voodoo. Sound is unmatched from this guys advice. Worth noting after speaking about my setup he sold me the cheapest speakers he had and they still sound amazing. My first set was faulty and he handled it professionally and rectified my problem quickly.Everyone’s service is great when they’re taking your money, when something goes wrong is when you see what their customer service really is. House of hifi surpassed the everyone of my expectationsThis place is a gem and Burlington needs to support it!!!

luckily I stumbled upon this store while entering into the world of turntables. I needed expert advice and a serious set up on my current Turntable. Grant took his time going through all the possible issues causing the poor sound quality we were hearing. After adjusting was complete I was back in business listening to Vinyl as it was meant to be. Looking forward to upgrading my current set up and I definitely have the right HIFI location to shop. Thanks again

After a transaction fell through with another business, I went looking for another source for a pair of Meze 99 Classics. Picked House of Hifi randomly off the map, gave them a call, and Grant was immediately ready to help me out. Service was primo--Grant was the picture of amiability despite my frequent check-in calls, and even cut me a deal on the price that came as a very welcome surprise. The place looks great, nice selection of products, and if he doesn't have it in stock then I can vouch for Grant's ability to get it for you.Two days after I called I've got my new headphones on and I couldn't be happier. Definitely going back if I ever find myself in need of another pair of cans! Cheers!

Excellent owner who provides experienced and patient guidance in equipment selection and setup ie of turntables and cartridges. Knowledgeable and friendly supporting staff. Great range of high quality audio gear and accessories at all price points.Nicely decorated store and separate spaces for equipment comparison and demonstration. Grab a coffee or watch the game. Wide range of sources ie turntables, DACs, streaming; amps, speakers headphones and headphone amps/DACs.You can demo units in your own home and Grant provides after purchase support and repair services for equipment including those 70’s heirlooms.I have purchased many pieces of gear from Grant and am a very satisfied customer.You don’t get this level of expertise in a big box store or on the internet.Convenient location. I walked in with dismantled stereo plug-in wire . I asked if repair was possible. Amazing!!.. 5 minutes done .. took the plugs apart, showed me how to re-engage.. all repaired..... This was my first visit.. most impressed with the welcome greeting . friendliness and the knowledge. Very nice clean store.Highly recommend.

Dealing with Grant is such a great experience, his knowledge of hi fi equipment is second to none and he explains things if you don’t know. I would highly recommend visiting his shop and listening to the great selection of starter high end turntables and then to some really incredible high end tables and some of the best speakers I have heard. You will not be disappointed.

Popped in with a friend the other day just for something to do on a Saturday afternoon. Pleasantly surprised as I wasn't even aware of him being there. The owner Grant was more than happy to let us look around and we struck up a conversation, reminiscing about audio stores that are no longer around. An hour passed very quickly.I inquired about a Kimber interconnect he had displayed. He only had a balanced version but offered me a Nordost purple flare at a very favorable price, which unknowingly ensured himself a future customer for my next big purchase. Excellent selection of product decently priced. If you haven't visited yet, make a point to drop in and say hello.

Recently had to replace my stereo amplifier and came across this store.I have to say the service was exemplary.Grant took time to walk me through the options he had available. He made sure I had ample time to listen to all the equipment I was interested in.Good selection of high quality products and absolutely the best service as well, I would thoroughly recommend the store to anyone.
